Hi Max, that size tire (225/60/18) should be what came on your Select from the factory. While the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus is a very good tire, it does not come in the extra load (XL) rating of 103 or 104 that Ford specifies for the Mach-E. The standard load rating of 100 that those tires come in would probably work but I always like to get tires with at least the load rating the manufactures recommends or higher.

Plus, OP said he wants “summer tires,” and all seasons aren’t summer tires.

You're right, they aren't summer tires but I was kind of confused why he said wanted them and then was choosing an all season tire. The only passenger "summer tire" I'm aware of that has an extra load rating (104) in his size is the Pirelli Cinturato P7 but it is also a run flat tire.

I don't know why they are tag all season but look at the thread, they are not all season, they are summer tires, use that in a canadian winter and you will not even move

Tread pattern doesn’t define a summer tire. It’s the compound and the carcass. I cant think of too many performance tires that have a tread pattern that would work in snow unless we’re talking 4x4 truck performance tires. Winter tires will have a better tread pattern for use in snow and slush, with a really soft compound so that it has traction when cold. ??

I was looking at the Pirellis.... but am most likely to go w Conti dws when my factory michelins wear out (probably right around 20k miles) after reading a bunch of reviews. I was considering 'summer tires', but it was really hard to find 100+ load rated with any life at all. Since I don't intend to track my Mach-e, the Conti dws got pretty darn good all around scores and I can use them *most* of the year.... all except for ski trips.

I have a Select AWD SR, and wanted to go +1 on width and stay with 18" wheels most of the year. I did get some aftermarket Enkie TS-v wheels that are 8.5 wide, so 245/55-18 should be just about right. check out

seem like a pretty good choice for $238/tire

BTW I kept factory wheels, and put stock size Vredestein wintrac pros on for winter. They were AWESOME in some snow/ice conditions this past winter.

I fully agree you should get the XL rated tires. These battery packs make our EV's very heavy.
