I test drove the Genesis GV60 Performance today. I liked it way more than the Polestar 2 that I ordered as a back-up if the Mach E never happens (and seems to have fewer reported tech bugs than the Polestar). The GV60 has a boost button that gives you 10 seconds of max power. It was nimble and classy. I thought it seemed lighter than the Polestar, but the salesperson says that their weights are comparable, it's just that the Genesis handles better. The faster charging capability would be a definite plus if I needed to charge when I was out and about. A drawback with the Genesis is the rotary dial "gear" changer. That would take getting used to. The Genesis dealer I went to has a red one coming in with leather interior that has not yet been spoken for and I could have put down $1000 to reserve it. With their $2500 markup over sticker, it pretty much is in the same price ballpark as my built, shipped but not yet delivered GT Performance (to be delivered 8/11 to 8/17 [allegedly]). If I pass on the GV60 presently en route, the dealer should have more coming in late August. So if the issues with the Mach E snowball out of control or if I just don't buy the GTPE if and when it shows up, I could switch to the GV60 and be happy.

May sound blasphemous here but I’d buy the GV60 assuming you don’t need range and any much cargo space (albeit the GTPE is just barely better on both regards).

I declined an Ioniq 5 Limited after a test drive back in late Jan and the dealer said there would be more in April (I pushed my deposit back to a later date since I had no idea what was happening with my MME orders). They have yet to get a single Limited since and won’t until the fall. If you find an EV, take it :)

I don't need range or cargo space. Hell, if Toyota were to bring back the MR2 as an EV, it would work for me. ? I really loved my ICE MR2.

When I got home this morning, the Genesis salesperson called me and said the guy who had the deposit on a gray one decided not to go forward since he thought it was too small. Said I can have that one right now if I wanted. Told him, gray doesn't suck, but red with black interior would be my preference. So I guess I could have ended my journey this afternoon; but I am waiting to see what Ford is going to do between now and my alleged Mach-E delivery.

For me the GV60 back seats were roomier than I expected. The car is like a TARDIS...bigger on the inside than the outside. Whatever I get just needs to be fun to drive and get me to and from work 5 days a week. If I need to go anywhere farther, I enter the hell we commonly call "air travel."

In reading their respective message boards, the Polestar seems to have way more problems than the GV60, so I may be canceling my Polestar reservation soon and keeping the GV60 in my EV back pocket. I loved the BMW i4 M50, but the markup on those on the lot and the year long wait to get an order built kind of detracts from that being a viable alternative.

I watched YouTube videos this afternoon by savagegeese testing the GV60 Performance and the BMW i4 M50. They didn't think that the GV60 Performance was worth $10K more than the GV60 Advanced. However, I liked pushing a button and getting the car to fly at warp speed for 10 seconds! So it would be worth it to me...a $10K "make it go faster button." And when I saw the license plate of the GV60 they were testing, I thought the plate looked familiar. Turns out back in April, I saw a heavily camouflaged and disguised vehicle driving on I5 and then exiting the same exit I did in Mission Viejo. Caught up to it and took pictures. Looked at the pictures again this afternoon and this disguised small EV SUV that I was following had the same license plate that savagegeese's GV60 Performance had! Finally solved THAT mystery.

What are people seeing in financing rates recently? My salesperson is saying high 2's, but the credit union rate sheet he sent me shows low 3's for a 5yr, 20% down loan. What's the skinny on Ford financing? Competitive? They declined me on the F350 I bought in April, despite 830 FICO8 score, whereas the credit union gave me a ~3% rate.

I got 2.7% via Ford Options yesterday on my Premium. Without it, they were offering 3.2% I think. Ford Options provided a locked rate back when you ordered.

FYI.. I picked up my 5/16 Cyber Orange Premium yesterday with the recall fix and the ETIS site shows no recall for the VIN now! The incoming 4/18 GTPE still has a recall notice on it... boo.

I'm expecting my GTPE delivery to be as smooth... $3K price protection, $1K Ford Options, etc. The GT is what I wanted so I definitely will take delivery on it. Will abandon my Grabber Blue order though.

I'm still showing recall on ETIS and NHTSA.

I don't remember anything about Ford Options when I ordered in early December. Was that something I needed to explicitly request, or is that inherent in every order?

Don't forget about the X Plan through MCA! That should save close to $1500 off MSRP.

Weather looks good for the next 10 days in KS so that is good no Hail Storms Predicted. Our luck we would get a tornado and hail!

Great question! Anyone know the answer to this?

I don't think so. I believe that the choice is made when you get to the financing point of your transaction as part of the "cash, finance or lease" step and before the "which car alarm would you like to install that will drain your fragile battery?" step.

No... it's just one financing option available for Ford EVs at the time of purchase.

Ford uses the order-date rates + rebates for them so it was too good to turn down.

Is anyone still stuck at the rail depot. Mine has been sitting in Newark for almost a month.

I haven't checked where mine is since it was allegedly shipped 10 days ago. Don't want to drive myself nuts.
