Except they started making FCTP cars almost a month ago when MP1 began about 25 September. At full pace, 3 weeks x 1300 cars per week is 3900 -- almost twice the number of FCTP.

Now, we know they started slow and early week MP1 targets were in the 400s per week. 3 x 400 = 1200 -- about 60% of FCTP.

So it is reasonable to expect that MP2 could start with First Editions plus the 49 Executive cars (we know one was already built). It's also reasonable to think that some FCTP may be left to be built in MP2 but not many.

All FEs should be built in 4 weeks at a conservative estimate. That would take through about 13 November.
I'm just saying my dealer says his FCTP car isn't being built until November.

I hope my FE comes soon, I'm just not as optimistic.

Not 100% sure but i thought the seat could go straight up for at least 2 inches ;)

It is very comfortable getting in and out the car:)
Wow, that would be great! I don't think my Escapes have a straight up-down adjustment. More of a tilt-back that raises the thighs but not the butt. (Plus forward-backward, recline, and lumbar).

I wouldn't imagine so. The MME hasn't got a fuel tank.

Apparently, according to reports, the issue is due to the battery overheating during charging and is igniting (or potentially) the fuel tank due to closeness of the two
The problem is still the battery management equipment though. Whether there's a gas tank nearby doesn't mean it's still not a problem with an overheating battery component that would need to be recalled.

I assume it's a different part on the MME though, given that it's a full BEV battery vs just a small hybrid battery.

Seat to ground is not an easily available dimension on vehicles, should be?
That would be nice. As we're seeing here, it's becoming a pertinent decision point for more buyers. And as car buying shifts toward online buying and less about just going to a lot and sitting in 5 different ones, having data available means even more.

The advent of SUVs in the last 3 decades has made seat height something more buyers consider. Lots of people like that about SUVs -- easier to get in/out, and better visibility of the road and surroundings while driving.

Remember the sitcom the middle they bought a dinning room set on line really cheap, they could not believe their good luck. It turned out to be a dollhouse set; they set it up in their dining room anyway. Exact size can be hard to gauge with online purchases. Will be good to see reviews come out here from ones setting up appointments at dealers. The European info was good. But is that a 5'-2" of 6'-8" guy? I am at 6' and do not take up a huge amount of space. As long as it does not say hot wheels on it I should be good ;) .

Even though headroom varies a little, seat height is still pretty closely tied to vehicle height. And that's still a lot lower for an Accord...

Accord: 57"
Mach-E: 63"
Escape: 66"

My stepmom has an Accord, and it's awful to crawl down into. I'm confident this will be way better than that. I was just hoping to get a little closer to my Escape. But I can live with a few inches worse.
For someone like me who doesn't like SUVs as a concept, the lower seating height than Escape is a strong selling point. I never wanted anything as tall as an Escape.

No doubt, people have different tastes. Some like low and sporty too.

Choosing a single standard to measure seat height at would be tricky too. IMO, it should be butt cheek position, because that's what we're really sitting on. But it's hard for someone to casually measure that because the seat slopes back so much and the lips on the side vary so much.

Oh well, not like it's actually gonna happen.

I do find it a bit funny to be talking about an Escape as being "tall", when it's the small SUV relative to Edge, Explorer, and Excursion. But yeah, compared to a sedan it is taller.

The other forum has a report from someone with a screen shot from their dealer's WBDO screen. Their dealer has no build date but it does show "sent to plant", so it's likely to be scheduled next week. They may be farther behind on FCTPs than I hoped.

Even so, if being cleared to MP2 accelerates the line speed and FEs start on schedule 26 October, we're still in good shape.

I always liked the lower ride height, makes it feel more like a Mustang
