While we don't know the final EPA numbers for the Mach E, and they might increase slightly, the Model Y will have more range for sure.

Lab range verse real world range. Two different values. Owner reports late this year and in early 2021 will provide the details.

While I'm not expecting a jump to 326, I wouldn't completely rule it out either.

Speaking as someone who has owned a Model 3 for 2.5 years you won’t get close to Tesla’s claimed range. I’m hoping Ford is more accurate but the only way you will get close with a Model 3 is to drive under 50 or 60 with no climate control. In freezing temps expect less than half.
That doesn't agree with my 2 years of ownership and 30,000 miles of 70MPH highway driving whatsoever, but each person's driving style is their own.

So the real world experience is irrelevant because insideevs said so, got it. Ignore your eyes and ears, trust the internet... sure.

Too many to list actually. The miles of range per hour of charge on the provided mobile EVSE and Ford Connected box is a start. You can backwards figure out some details that way. Those figures have changed and not for the better so I am not expecting range predictions to increase. We also have some test data from overseas that is useful. If you know the useful range from a known existing model over there and compare it to the known useful range over here then you get a ratio. Apply the same ratio to the Ford predictions overseas and you can pretty much figure out what to expect over here.

The press releases for NA consumers don't nail down a figure because as soon as Ford does that, then we all are going to hold their feet to the fire when the real figures are different. So Ford knows better than that and will have a bunch of qualifiers in their language. Target, predictions, expect, varies, etc.

For the EU/UK market.....they get it straight between the eyes because they understand EVs better than we do and know that mileage will vary based on a bunch of things.

Lastly, I have good data from my FFE and I can compare miles of range per hour on L2 to what Ford is saying we should expect with the MME on their L2. It looks like the RWD ER is about 84-85% as efficient as the FFE and the AWD ER even less. I too was hoping for about the same miles/kWh as my FFE but it's really a pipe dream. The MME is much larger, much heavier, much more powerful and much higher coefficient of drag. When you really think about it....a 15% penalty is a reasonable price to pay for all the upgraded features.

....or I could be totally wrong and these things will pass 300 miles of range with ease. I am expecting about 270 for AWD ER and maybe 298 for RWD ER at about 70 mph with reasonable conditions and reasonable driving skills. To get over 300 miles might take some discipline.

Just my $0.02...
We will know soon enough. And when that time comes, we are going to be so impressed by the vehicle in other areas. We will be grinning so much that the 20-30 miles of extra range will be forgotten for the most part.

At 70 MPH, that would effectively be an increase. The 270/300 targets now are for EPA projections, which is only at 48 MPH avg. For it to stay there at 70 MPH, EPA would probably be around 330/300.

That concerned me a little too. Also the Ford mobile charger (went from 22 miles each hour to 21). It's possible that's because of charger loss instead of vehicle mileage, but if the latter, miles/kWh could have shrunk ~5%.

You're picking one measurement to claim the Y sacrifices interior space.

Depending on individual need, it is completely appropriate to compare the 3 and the E.
Nope. You are comparing apples and oranges and I am done listening to this insanity.
