My local dealer found me a 2022 Premium canceled special order and sold it to me for MSRP.For context, I've already taken delivery of a '22 mach-e a few months ago, and it's great.. and i'm considering cancelling a pending model Y order and simply going for two mach-e's in the house (also considering a EV6 but that's a moot point here).
Obviously we can't order anything new now given the production backlog, though the dealer site inventories do show a handful around. I know that sometimes these will be spoken for already even if they're shown, how much success have people had in buying out of dealer inventories?
I like the car so much that I'm now selling my 2020 Tesla Model 3 (for more than I purchased it for two years ago) to fund acquisition of a 2022 GTPE. I found my GTPE at a dealership 1,500 miles away that will sell it to me for MSRP with X-Plan.
Opportunities are out there if you do your research and don't mind traveling.
