Never happen. They cut a deal, someone is getting revenue someway. You can't then give the enduser the ability to remove the revenue potential. That's why we can't delete Sirius even when we let the trial lapse.Maybe they will provide an option to remove the Alexa ring of death.
This! Hopefully Ford incorporates this basic concept of simple and complex data screens. The Chevy Volt launched in 2011 (which I also have) has this design concept for the instrument cluster. I too would like to have access to more granular control to view car parameters like SoC, Regen, Instant energy output in kWH.In a perfect world, they would give us an option via settings to decide if we wanted a data rich screen or a clean one. Or, perhaps they could give us a more granular control, like I want to see SOC, Speed, and Regen, but not temperature, grade, or direction of travel. ?![]()
Having the ability to somewhat customize the information we get on the IPC would be a no-brainer. Older fords even used to have some idea of it with the middle block.See I’m the opposite. I don’t want ANY of the junk the F150 has. I love the clean UI. The battery bar in engage is my primary mode, then the glowing diagrid of unbridled ?. I hope they never change that.
Actually it will happen. But you have me ignored because you don't like it when I correct your inaccuracies so you'll never see this.Never happen. They cut a deal, someone is getting revenue someway. This is addressed in the latest sync updates. Mine doesn’t turn off until I open a door.Another CRAZY idea here, but maybe do not turn of the center screen when you turn off the car and the passenger door opens. Maybe just wait for the driver door?
Sometimes I'd really like to just wait for something on the radio to finish, or to open the rear trunk from the screen before getting out, but my passenger will open the door before I can get to the access menu on the screen. This is pretty minor, but has bugged me since day one.
Really? That's awesome then! This is addressed in the latest sync updates. Mine doesn’t turn off until I open a door.
This is exciting news. My Big Three most wanted improvements for the infotainment screen are:They are working on a re design for sync. I can confirm that. I can also tell you all that if you saw the original mock ups you would be pulling your hair out. It's looking better as of right now and they have taken a lot into consideration from comments throughout this forum. Things such as using the volume knob for climate adjustment, fan and heated seats will be integrated, for example.
It'll be a software update no hardware will be involved.
1. I have seen a mockup of a side view of the MME showing a tap for opening the frunk and trunk. It's not however the main screen. Cameras I haven't seen anything for. This is exciting news. My Big Three most wanted improvements for the infotainment screen are:
1. One tap access to rear hatch and cams (front and 360)
2. Use volume knob to dynamically adjust HVAC
3. Less lag
And I wonder when FordPass is getting a much needed UI overhaul?
It does this already. You gotta sync the fob and your phone (if you’re using PAAK) in the profile settings to each individual profileOne thing I would love to see is prioritizing profile loading/selection. I hate that I always get squished by the seat settings set by my wife. If I could hop in, turn on the car, and immediately switch the profiles, it would be amazing.
