I believe I'm the latest with the issue, happened while on a road trip and thankfully had gone to the dealer beforehand and had them do the recall software update.

Luckily it never bricked, and still fast charged ok, and was able to get it home and to my local dealer. Will see what they say tomorrow.

I know for a fact that they aren't out of stock. My local Sacramento Depot had hundreds of them. I think, and it's only a guess, that they see the part out of stock because they are trying to order the discontinued number. But they should be able to order it, even the old number and get the new one quickly.

Since we are working with you in DM I'll post an update so we can check on it.
Awesome! Much appreciated!

I haven't forgotten you either. We just need the dealer to scan the car before we can do much. So tomorrow we'll be looking at what the scan results are.

Also, it does appear that dealers are becoming more educated on how to handle these issues. We've seen some recent failures get handled correctly by the corporate BEV team and the dealership without intervention. Hopefully that trend picks up. So at this point I think intervention is only necessary when the dealers misdiagnose the issue or there's obvious hiccups.

Hoping for an OTA this week for the recall so I don’t possibly get bricked at least driving from Tampa to Savannah. I am a bit nervous, I did 300 miles just fine and DCFCd last weekend, but this next weekend will be twice as long drive.

I’m happy things are moving so quickly for you but my dealership has been saying since Friday am that the HVBJB is out of stock. Do you know where your dealership obtained one from?
Sorry to hear you're having problems with your dealer. I don't know where they're ordering mine from, but I will ask tomorrow and let you know.

I brought the car in a couple of weeks ago to have service department load new software. I wasn’t waiting to an OTA. I had several drives coming up and didn’t want to take the chance.

see if your dealership can get your car in this week.

good luck

Yep confirmed HVBJB failure on mine, on a rarer Premium with the issue.

Dealer said part is on order they hope to have it done Fri night.

Good news is with the recall software already performed it didn't brick, and was able to drive 500 miles home from the road trip I was on and fast charge multiple times without issue.

Ford pass on Home Screen shows 100% charge and miles yet on charge screen it shows actual percentage which is only 79%. Weird. Up until my last couple of OTA I never had a problem with Fordpass , not it’s funky a good deal of the time

oh that’s great news to know. I wonder how long it would take to actually fry it. I was on a road trip to seattle and mine got the wrench. I did not want to chance the 350 more mile to seattle and then 752 back home. I Assumed it wouldn’t allow DC fast charging but it does

You could possibly have the broken 2.8.2 GWM module update. It messes up FordPass charging data among other things.
