Personally I’ll be going for the wings.Looks like shrimp is back on the menu, boys!
I believe this is why this BCM update was pulled last week. If you just do BCM, you start getting frunk error messages pop on the IPC.The BCM is, but the GFM is not. It will be interesting to see what happens if they update the BCM without updating the GFM because others that tried that before the GFM was available got a Frunk Fault error in the instrument cluster.
Yeah, I'm sure that's why it was pulled. But it doesn't look like the GFM is installed automatically with the BCM, so some people may still end up getting the error if their dealer installs the BCM as part of a different campaign that doesn't include the GFM.I believe this is why this BCM update was pulled last week. Yes, its very possible. Another reason I wish an FDRS subscription would let you view TSB data as well. Or at least make FDRS popup when you update a module that this update has a dependency on another module or something. Ford is really making it too easy for dealers and end users to not get it done properly.Yeah, I'm sure that's why it was pulled. The main problem is they post these updates to FDRS about a week before the TSB is published. In that timeframe there are no instructions so stuff can go wrong. They should really release TSBs and corresponding software at exactly the same time.Yes, its very possible. Another reason I wish an FDRS subscription would let you view TSB data as well. 2122?To be honest, I don’t think it’s coming “next week”, but I think this indicates there’s a chance of “by the end of CY22”.
There is a chance that once the car checks in with the new software it will enable the button in FP.OK, so looks like you'll need BCM, GFM, and APIM (and maybe GWM/TCU) updates to make this work fully? Job 1 probably won't have a frunk button on FordPass until getting these BCM and GFM updates, plus the 3.x updates coming later this year.
Yeah, sorry, I had a link in the first post to @i8iridium 's FORScan changes, but that probably wasn't obvious. It's here:@generaltso are you going to post the FORScan as-built changes?
I'll keep checking in FP to see if it shows up. I actually did have a Frunk button in FP a while back after a BCM update, but it didn't work. Ford later removed it server side, so we know they can flip switches to have things appear and disappear in FP.There is a chance that once the car checks in with the new software it will enable the button in FP.
Go drive the car and see if it shows up afterwards?I'll keep checking in FP to see if it shows up. I actually did have a Frunk button in FP a while back after a BCM update, but it didn't work. I did drive the car about 8 miles, and it hasn't shown up. But it still might.Go drive the car and see if it shows up afterwards?
