It’s just a black GT badge and wheels that haven’t had the black paint machined off. The wheels at the very least should cost Ford a few cents less since there is one less operation to be performed in production. Black GT badge might be slightly more expensive based on quantities. ??

It's used to differentiate the models and entice you to spend more money. So for that reason alone I seriously doubt they will ever change it. But who knows?

Those ice, white special edition, painted white wheels are perhaps the worst idea, ever in rotating devices, since it crawled out of the Cro-Magnon era

I would be more willing to get this package than the Snow White one.
Sorry I just can not stand white cars but this one looks pretty cool.
That being said I do love my rapid red. I still think given the choice I would go after the blue they had in the first edition but I do like this all black look.
