I don't understand why people have to use their car as eatery. There are so many nice and beautiful places to have lunch or dinner.
I always had a rule - no food in the car. If hungry - then we have to stop some place

I’ve eaten food in every car I’ve ever owned. None of ‘em were a mess. I clean up after myself if I have to - kind of like eating at home. It’s not hard. How can you not eat hot fries right away? If you haven’t found an old stale fry under the seat when cleaning it up for selling it then you‘ve missed out on, … something, I’m sure.

It’s a car. I eat it in it. I fart in it. I get in it when I’m damp from swimming or sweaty from exercising. I bought it to move me from place to place while living my life. I do prefer to eat while hands free is active because I can carefully hold a napkin under my chin while eating, keeping escapee crumbs to a minimum. But… I do own a vacuum so even escapee crumbs do not end my universe.

No eating, Click your shoes before you get in. Windows always up.

2022 MME GT 4300 miles. The car is like new.

(I'm 66 years old and up until this car I was not a clean freak.)

Actually shocked how many people will let kids eat in their cars.

My kids eat like this. Maybe you’ll let them eat in YOUR car?

That'd be tough. My car might not have gas, but I'm a different story...
Especially after a small peach shake from Chick-fil-A….I’m lactose intolerant??

Uh, … they’re your kids. They’re messy and, did I say, they’re your kids. Do you let them eat in your house? I mean, your house costs more than your car, right? I must be gettin’ old or something.

I have never found a stale anything, except a Cheerio, in any car I've ever owned.

Aside from the perforations in the seats, this car is really easy to clean and vacuum, so not a huge deal. It replaced our minivan so might as well use it

I used to have a very big no eat or drinking policy for earlier vehicles, with exceptions for road trips where we'd stop at a park and eat type place like a Sonic. But after my wife's cancer bout last year, we eat/drink whenever we need to.

My thought, life is too short to grumble over crumbs or spills, especially when they can be cleaned up. The vehicle isn't super rare or a collectible, nor will it be in its current state. It's my daily driver, albeit not a ton of miles go on it, but for some snacks and a bottle of juice or water, I'm more than happy letting the people I care about enjoy their time fully in the car.

Man I miss the "old" McDonald's fries. There was nothing better than munching on those on the way home from the drive-thru.... good times.

Why is it a problem just stop somewhere nice and eat outside. Why does it have to be in the car?

House is a lot easier to clean…… and a lot older.

If my car was made out of the same materials as my house, and as easy to clean…… would be an entirely different situation.

Maybe I’m alone, but I love that I still have the “new car smell” after almost a year.

Eating in the car kills that smell fast.
