I've never used it...
I tried it a couple of times and it didn't work very well and when it did it was slow. Faster to just do it the old fashioned way.

I also now see no reason at all for the CA Rt1 to exist any more. They should just have moved the aero wheels to an option on the Premium and axed the Rt1.
I obviously disagree as that is what I am buying, it literally has nothing removed from the premium that I want and I am paying $2300 less than the premium. With that savings I am going to buy some kick ass wheels to even rival the GT.

As other EVs (continue to ) go up in price the MME increase will be considered normal. As inflation is up 9.1% (year-over-year) a 10% increase from MY2021 (EDIT MY2022 pre Dec price hike) to MY2023 does not seem out of line. (I know, model dependent)

I’m disappointed but I’m still going to order one, and see how the rebates and incentives pan out. I don’t think I’ll be eligible for the rebates. I wasn’t buying this car to save the world, I know where batteries come from. But now I’m thinking of buying a $45k ICE that’s less buggy, cheaper to insure and spending the $25k I saved on gas and oil changes.

I don't think EVs are any more to insure. I think mine was pretty low that it was surprising.

We all knew price increases were coming. Supply/cost of batteries have gone up a lot. The Select, to me looks to be a mystery, but the rest had increases that sorta fit what I imagined honestly.

May be time to reconsider the ICE option. My wife just went to a MB lot last week, they have no shortage on inventory

And maybe that's why EV makers have more pricing power. Maybe it's just me, but I can't see myself really ever buying an ICE car anymore. Maybe if I were to get a dedicated track car or something, but really, it's EV or nothing for me now.

Never having to go to a gas station is pretty priceless to me, not to mention smog checks in CA and the shady people at gas stations there as well. Just prefer not to waste 15 minutes or more a week every single damn week there.

I think some article price compared the new BMW i4 EV vs. the gas one and with gas prices, if someone had solar, the EV was the better/cheaper option.

You're only looking at select base price, but there are tech package features missing plus it's battery cost should have gone down as they're moving to LFP for the small pack. Other trims went up by almost $6k for getting nothing new and the parking assist removed, while the big battery pack is also another $2,600 for an other $8k increase on the premium trim. It is also not in line with the rest of the market, Tesla never was and other competitor prices like VW are going down.

Yep, was already looking at an EV6 but was undecided, I thought the tax credit being deleted from Korean cars made my decision to hold onto my Mach E order but the price is going up more than the tax credit was so if I don't get price protection I'm not taking delivery.

It still boils down to supply/demand/features. I looked at the EV6 (meant to say Ioniq5) and outside of the massively better charging, I think you're forced to get the Premium top of the line for any basic features like 360 camera. We all know about Tesla prices increases.

As for VW id4, the features are really really lacking with non-existent 1 pedal driving, bad display, no memory I don't think seats/mirrors, etc. Also, what's the supply/demand like? Remember, you simply can't find/buy any MME on dealer lots really at all. Not sure on other cars. I thikn Hyundai's are all sitting there, but there is a dealer ADM at all of them. But they still sit there.

I don't think the LFP will be in the 2023 model yet.

People who didn't think prices were going up by a decent amount for 2023 models were probably fooling themselves IMO. We all knew/stated prices were going to go up a decent chunk.

There are dealers you can get MSRP at, just takes a little searching, cast a wider net than the closest ones to where you live. I've noticed no real difference between the amount of dealers that do and don't honor MSRP based on brand.

I'm not so sure for the Korean brands. I follow some other car forums and it seems nearly impossible to find those without an ADM. I think they just make/bring over so few since they are all made in Korea I think that dealers just don't care.

Valid points. My point was now that Ford has increased the price of certain models by $8,495, the crazy ADMs that we have witnessed up until now will mostly likely subside. Now if dealerships can still move Mach-Es with a $10,000 mark up on top of the new MSRPs, then we’ll see USED Mach-E Premium ER RWD sell for $70k. I, personally, don’t see that happening though. I think 2023 ADMs will be $5,000 or less on higher trims.

I agree with some of the other posters. Until we start seeing Mach-Es sitting unsold on lots, I think people will have no trouble paying these prices as long as the demand is still there. I don't see many/any 2022s at MSRPs so we know many people are already paying ADM if they aren't ordered car folks. That shows a $5k-$10k price is an easy sell.

It may sound strange to you or me, but that's what the market is supporting.

You have some posters here saying they are happy paying an increased MSRP now since they can get the tax credit or some ADM to get the car now, a lot of folks do IMO and until supply/demand catches up, people will continue paying it.

Even on ICE cars, there are mark ups so don't think it's just Ford/EVs. Look at Rivian and their what, $20k price increase?

People just have to go in comparing with what's out there and if they really need a new car/EV or anything really in this market.

Maybe the Macan EV if that starts at $80k...Taycan is still a sedan and some people simply won't want a Sedan.
There is a wagon version of the Taycan, the Cross Turismo trim, but I suppose that probably makes it even less popular among Americans.

Since I only care about extended range AWD I made this chart including freight

$64,875 --- California Route 1 eAWD
$67,575 --- Premium eAWD
$71,195 --- GT eAWD
$77,195 --- GT Performance eAWD

California Route 1 still in my opinion is the most bang for your buck.

If going Premium might as well pay $3620 more for GT
Whenever I would look for Mach-Es on sale over the last year just to see if a trade made sense, Premiums were always hardest to find while GTs and Selects were a bit easier. I think Ford has now figured out their Premium ER AWD is the most sought after variant and have priced it accordingly.

Definitely agree that the performance increase you get for $3K by going from a Premium ER AWD to GT is huge and a very good value.

I wonder how Ford will handle people that ordered a 2022 select with the tech package that are now forced to upgrade to a 2023
Good question! Im so pissed right now..sorry for the language…i mean..how can we pay that amount of money for a car to have less than any other can built after 2020? This is crazy…no heated seats??!! C’mon !

My situation may be unique. I'm in a two EVs household and have been driving EV for 8 years.

I'm adding a long range car for road trip. Leasing an ICE may be less stressful than buying another EV. Pricing gouging is one thing, don't have the exact option and colour that I have been waiting for after months waiting is really pushing me over the edge. (Tesla would be a logical choice, but my wife is too picky, and it won't pass her QC)
