Premium 2022 standard battery, red with grey interior. 20k miles in Excellent condition minus a small ding on the door from the wind blowing my door into a post at a charging station ?‍?

dealer offered me 45.5k, which is what I paid brand new. Are they going for more in private sales?

Considering it.

Have you got any other quotes, from online or local dealers? 15 minutes can give you 15% or more!
Kelly Blue book (which sends your car info to other dealers)
Driveway
CarMax
Givemethevin

Also note many dealers beats CarMax offers without questions.

My car premium RWD SR is 13000 miles, cracked windshield, highest is $54k from givemethevin (was 52750, I negotiated to higher).

2022 Premium AWD ER was $59+. Battery is $6k, AWD was $1k. No way you paid $45.5k...

Dealer is ripping you off.

Premium SR RWD should be around $49K no? Unless you're counting Ford Options $2500 rebate and/or other discounts. My premium SR AWD was $51.5K sticker. Regardless $45.5K is *way* too low. I just sold mine for $57K with 19K miles.

I basically have your model (Infinite Blue Metallic, SR, AWD, Light Space Grey interior) with a little over 13,000 miles on it. It was $51.5 k MSRP but I paid $2k ADM. Who did you sell yours to for $57k? That would still be more than I paid for mine even with ADM. I have been toying with the idea of possibly selling it but as of now, have not thrown in the towel and really started investigating doing it. I think I'd like to get a RAV 4 Prime XSE if I could ever locate one. That way I'd have an electric car around home (for however many miles you get on a charge to the battery) and a hybrid for trips. I've heard these are as hard to get ahold of as the Mach E is right now. Anybody have a RAV 4 Prime?
EDIT: I'm in the middle of negotiations for buying a brand new 2022 RAV 4 Prime SE Plug-In Hybrid and they are offering me $55,475 for my Mach E. Your dealer is way too low ($49k) on your offer for trade in. I don't know for sure that I will follow through but a 2022 black AWD RAV 4 Prime SE is scheduled to be delivered in 10-14 days and I'm first on the list to be offered it. They are extremely hard to find. I went to another dealer and they wanted $61,000 for a 2021 RAV 4 Prime SE with 3500 miles on it. I walked away from that as it was way too much but I guess they are getting premium prices for them just like the Mach E. The car I am looking at lists for $40,300 and factory/port installed packages and accessories are $4,264 (loaded with what I wanted anyway) with delivery & processing $1335 for a total of $45,899. They are going to add ADM and that's where I have to decide if I'm going to pay it for this car. I don't know what it will be yet as the car hasn't arrived. Also, Toyota lost the $7500 tax credit in August so I just missed that (not sure if I could get a lesser amount for tax credit or not as I'm not up on the law). My other option is to order a 2023 Titanium Ford Escape plug-in hybrid and I have the X-Plan for that. The Escape only comes in FWD however and that is a consideration for winter driving. The order banks just opened for ordering that car.

But Toyota lost the $7500 tax credit so not worth it. The interior is really cheap and it's loud when the engine cuts in.

You should be able to get closer to msrp not what you paid after discounts - though your ding may be... dinging you. I don't know if all dealers do this but mine said matching carmax was no problem because they were associated. It still only took 15 minutes for them to match carvana - $47 for select rwd sr w/ comfort/tech.

But there are so many options now and each one can be thousands apart. Carvana, driveway, shift, carmax to name a few.

Just thinking out loud after reading @MachTee post and probably won't do it.

I knew Toyota lost the $7500 credit this year but is there any incentives with the new federal laws just passed for 2023? Is the RAV4 engine any louder than the Prius engine when it cuts in? We've had 2 Prius's and I'm used to hearing the engine cut in which didn't bother me. The pictures of the interior look OK; have you seen one in person? What was cheap about it?

Academic anyway as you can't find a 2022 now and would have to wait for a 2023. Is Toyota like Honda where you can't really order the car you want built and the dealer is "allocated" so many cars of each model therefore leaving you to take it or leave it?

They won't qualify because they're not built in North America. I had a Prius Prime in 2018 and it didn't sound as loud compared to a RAV4 Prime. I test drove an SE and it felt the same as my Leaf: hard plastics, dated infotainment and camera. My Select feels much more premium. Go and test drive one to see.

Definitely price out online buyers, CarMax, etc. Not sure what’s happened in the last month but I sold a month ago for over MSRP (‘22 with lower miles). When I went in to buy my replacement MME a couple weeks later the salesperson said she didn’t blame me for not trading in as I could do so much better elsewhere.

Thanks for the info. I’m staying with my Mach E at this point unless things get a lot worse with contactor or other serious issues. I basically like my car but I’ve just got the first model year blues I guess.

If you want to maximize what you get, not fixing things like a door ding is NOT the way to go about it. PDR can often remove a door ding for $100 or less, maybe $200 at most, and you can't tell it happened. Otherwise, you have to tell all the online buying services of the "damage", and you get more than "dinged" on price.

Anyone who sells a used Mach-E for less than MSRP is getting ripped off. In fact, if you're not getting more than MSRP, you're getting ripped off.

I had Prime SE and XSE. Both felt super budgety compared to the Mach-E. And of course in gas/HV mode when accelerating it made horrible sounds lol.

The top trim XSE with Premium package is a unicorn amongst unicorns. That’s the one you want because it has comparable features and more (1500W inverter, 6.6 kW charger, digital rear view mirror)

21k miles Select AWD in good condition got me 46k plus another 3.5k in sales tax savings from a dealer so I think that's a low offer.

Thank you. I'm convinced not to do anything at this point and have decided to stick with my car. Hopefully, the first model year blues will end soon for Job 1 Mach E's. Basically I like the car it's just the unknown that has me wondering (HVJB failure) but everyone says it is limited to GT and GTPE primarily and not Premium or Select models. The thought of being stranded is frightening especially if it is my wife alone in the car. I do have a friend who got a RAV4 Prime and she loves her SUV. I personally have never sat in or driven one. It seemed like it might be the best of both worlds with an EV for 40 miles (around town) then hybrid/ICE propulsion after that.
