I am little surprised you are surprised "difference in ride quality". In all the YouTube videos I have seen the most common complaint is that the 225s were just too small. Whenever anyone drives the EV6 or Ionic5 they think the handling is better. I believe this is due to the 255 tires. An update on range/consumption from my commute into work this morning. It's a 46mile (one-way) commute, mostly highway going 65-70. I typically average around 3.5-3.7mi/kWh in the mornings and with the new wheels/tires I averaged 3.3mi/kWh this morning (per the built-in readings).
I will say that I'm a bit surprised at the difference in ride quality. It seems improved, where I didn't really expect much of a difference. I don't feel like it's as "twitchy" as it used to be? I dunno, maybe I'm looking too much into it, but my drive in this AM seemed more pleasant than usual.
The 245s from the GTPE seem like a good idea to make the SEL/Prem a better car. I am wondering if 255s like the EV6 might be even better?
