My 2021 Job 2 took about 4 to 5 hours. The 5gb update seemed like it was going well, first gig took like 3 minutes, then just BOOM slooooooooooow. Started around noon, finished downloading at around 4:15pm and then took about 20 minutes for the car to update from the USB.The update took about 90 minutes from start to finish on my 2021 Job 1.
oh good so we can’t blame my old eBay windows flash machine or my flash drive of questionable origin, took the same silly amount of time.My 2021 Job 2 took about 4 to 5 hours. No, sir! Seems to be no rhyme or reason for it. Especially when it hit the ground running and then just throttled hard. I was also hardwired not on Wi-Fi!oh good so we can’t blame my old eBay windows flash machine or my flash drive of questionable origin, took the same silly amount of time.
good luck getting a dealer to flash this update as a good will….No, sir! Seems to be no rhyme or reason for it. Especially when it hit the ground running and then just throttled hard. I was also hardwired not on Wi-Fi!
Yeah same for me. I use a decent Microsoft Suface and a USB 3 drive. It’s just how FRDS does what it does.oh good so we can’t blame my old eBay windows flash machine or my flash drive of questionable origin, took the same silly amount of time.
That was about identical for me, even the time you started at around noon. Mine finished just before 5pm. 2021 Job 2.My 2021 Job 2 took about 4 to 5 hours. Which version is supposed to include full screen Android Auto? I got 3.5.2 but I was under the impression the full screen Android Auto was somehow bundled with the HVBJB recall update (which as far as I can tell 2022 cars have not gotten the OTA for yet).It should have it, that came out a couple versions prior.
Mine was similar - started at 7:15; finished up around 8:45. The actual update with the USB stick was concerning. My car sat at 0 of 42 files updated for a long time. I started to think something was wrong, but am glad I waited it out.The update took about 90 minutes from start to finish on my 2021 Job 1.
And good luck getting it OTA too, I mean, 5 gigs on our car modem? I’m in the boonies of internet here with no easy access wifi where my car is parked. I could set up a router with booster in the backyard if the OTA was reliable or “fetchable.” Maybe some day?good luck getting a dealer to flash this update as a good will….
Everyone will get them OTA eventually. You can buy the required software and hardware to do the updates yourself, or you can wait. That's the current state of affairs. So why are the rest of us not allowed to have these updates? Is there a service somewhere where you can buy these other than a dealer? (dealer wanted $200 per update..sheesh and no thanks)
I am a 2021 Job 2, in EA, I got 3.5.2 yesterday, so guessing 3.5.3 is coming soon with all of this, so if EA is getting it, guessing non-EA shouldnt be far behind. So why are the rest of us not allowed to have these updates?
