Unfortunately I noticed a big crack on my pano roof today. Anyone else get it replaced under warranty? It doesn’t look to be from impact, see pics below—don’t mind my smudge marks, was making sure it was a crack by feeling over it :(

I've had my Mach-e for a year and a half and have replaced the roof twice. First time was two weeks after getting the car and it was replaced under warranty. Second time was clearly stone damage and I had to make an insurance claim. The roof listed for $1,400 plus install.

The warranty only covers stress cracks in the windshield for 1 year. It doesn't call out the roof glass, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same. I guess you'll need to have your dealer look at it to know if they'll willing to try a warranty claim.

That's how my claim played out. Four guys from the service department took a look at it. Two of them thought it was a stress crack, the other two thought it was stone damage. In the end, the service manage made a warranty claim for a stress crack and Ford covered it. The fact that the car was 2 weeks old may have been in my favor.

Hello, Christopher! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist. Thanks!

Update: another crack is forming. Dealer ordered the glass and will be performing a “ballpoint pen test” to determine whether it’s impact (it’s not)

The single main reason why I re-ordered a 2nd Mach E (An upgrade to a GT) without a pano roof! Haven't had a single issue with my iron top!

I’d eventually love to upgrade to a GT, absolutely WITHOUT the pano roof. It’s a novelty that wears off quickly.

I had originally ordered a premium, but when it arrived the pano & windshield were misaligned... rejected it and got a GT instead with a nice steel roof option -- guaranteed not to crack. Ha, as fate would have it, 3 months into my GT ownership, a rock smacked my windshield and I got a small crack/chip... fixable... whew!

Final update: getting my car back today after 1-week of noticing the panoramic roof cracks

- Noticed cracks on Wednesday night, took car in Thursday morning for a diagnosis and order the new glass
- Glass arrived Monday morning, brought car in Tuesday morning
- Tech said it would only take half a day, but they only have 1 glass worker and it requires an extra set of hands... Which caused some delays
- Car done and ready Thursday

This was all done under warranty. Since the cracks didn't appear to be due to impact and another crack was forming without impact, they covered it. Also started a glass claim through GEICO in the case that it wouldn't be covered. Glass was about $1400 without labor.

Well my pano roof cracked at 8000 miles. Not any impact areas as verified by safelite. Ford won't honor warranty. It's cracked like many of yours beginning over the passenger side. Bad form Ford. I have filed a claim after waiting since May 30th.
