The new Lotus EV SUV is something else. Quite expensive but amazing.
I went to the launch on Tuesday at Lotus Surrey and was really impressed by the car.

In person it's stunning, but the interior is where I was most amazed. It's definitely on my short list as possible next EV, or at least the base model! Price wise it's pretty competitive against the Taycan but significantly better looking in my opinion.

What's funny is if you thought Mustang purists were salty at the prospect of an electric SUV, you should see what the old Lotus fans are spewing online at this car. But at the end of the day it secures the life of a historic brand and allows them to keep doing the sporty stuff as well.

Not my cup of tea even if I could afford it. The front looks like a pumpkin with the carved out face, especially in that yellow colour.? Could this be the Geely influence?

So, got my car back today having had the Windscreen/HV contactor welding done. Car was in for 4 days whilst they tried to fix the stuck 1.6, no luck with that yet. Anyway, after 30 miles I get 2 lights come om the dash and 2 warnings in Fordpass - Powertrain Malfunction and High Voltage Battery Warning. No stop safely and no apparent loss of power. Anyone else had this after the HV conductor fix and if so, what was the issue.

I've contacted the Dealer and will have to wait to speak to them before I drive as its smart motorways all the way and no way I'm wanting to stop suddenly...anyone got any advice or experience with this?

The update that they applied simply stops the car from stranding itself if the junction box goes, which it appears yours now has. You’re not seeing a loss in power because you’re a RWD I believe - for AWD when this happens they cut out one of the motors and the loss of power is very noticeable.

Not the first person I’ve seen have this happen recently. Car should be drivable whilst your dealer awaits the part, which I’m afraid might be a while based on what I’m seeing in the Facebook MME group; some people are being told that it could be 4-6 weeks.

Thanks for that, the Master Technician has said it is safe to drive on short journeys only apparently, so they have taken it back in to the dealer and I'm awaiting a hire car...hope it's not for 4 weeks though!!!! All was ok until it went in....sods law!

You can't really see from the photo but a lot of that black front is air intakes through to the front wheels and batteries. Honestly it's a real head turner in real life, though I agree that yellow isn't really working.

You can tell me - I'm a Mach-E Doctor ;)
I can tell you now. Headlight rubbing on bumper (or the other way round). Confirmed will be fixed under warranty. Headlight/bumper to be realigned plus bumper to be resprayed. Sheet of thin paper can't be slid between light and bumper.

Streuth! Hope you have the same sort of luck I did when a rock the size of your fist struck a great hole almost in my windscreen on M6 over Spaghetti, Autoscreens couldn’t get a screen for the insurance claim I made, waited a month, went into dealer for screen recall consultation when I was told somebody cancelled their recall so dealer had one in stock, would let me have it as part of my screen recall at no cost to me. Insurance claim cancelled, policy excess saved, happy daze-I love my life?,

Be mindful if your hire car is provided by Enterprise. My 5 month old Mache as been in my local ford dealer since 12 th October. The dealer provided me with a petrol fiesta.
ford uk arranged an hire car through Enterprise for me a Nissan Qashqai went to pick it up on Saturday morning from my local Enterprise hire centre. Only to be asked to sign up to :-
£500 excess for any damage per panel also £500 excess for any chips or windscreen damage ??? however if I paid £10 per day for full damage waiver that might be a way forward ???. I refused Fords hire car and am now back in the dealers Fiesta. Whilst my full rejection of my Mach e is settled.
