My flex changer has been hard wire installed for 18 months at 60amps and has worked flawlessly. A few weeks ago charging has changed from a 5 to 10 minute charge and Ford pass says fully charged, it never is. When I unplug charger and plug back in it will start charging again for a few minutes. I have removed all schedules on Ford pass, MME and charge point. I have charged at EA a few times and charge to 90% without a hiccup during this time. Went to Ford and they charged without issue. Received replacement charger from Chargepoint and nothing has changed but the day !! The only thing I haven't tried is to delete the Ford pass app. All and any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Try removing your charge location, then plug in and charge a bit, then re-enter your charge location. Not sure this will work in your case but others have had issues; although, in those cases their vehicles went to 100% charge. I would also suggest inspecting your wiring for the charger. I realize it is hardwired but perhaps inspect your breaker? Just floating out some items I have noticed other members have experienced. If you also happen to have a 240V plug I would test charging with your mobile charger at home. Maybe someone else who has had this issue will reply - good luck!

I have move it from 30 to 90% does not matter . I have started from 15% all the way to 70% still only get 10 to 15 miles a charge then shuts off.

OK, that should be fine, what about on different chargers? Did you try the Mobile Charger in the trunk or a public charger? Does it have the truncated charging issue with those or just your ChargePoint?

Another question, when you replaced the ChargePoint, did you replace the whole thing (cable and all), or just the box on the wall?

Replace the wall box and charge cord. My ford dealer has a public charger, charged fine, Did not try mobile charger, will now. Will Also delete ford app and reinstall.

If the fault was with the ChargePoint then you would get a message in the car as well as FordPass. Message says something like "charging stopped unexpectedly .....". You can verify this by switching off the power to the EVSE at the breaker panel while the vehicle is charging.

If you aren't getting those messages, then your car is stopping on its own. Remember, the charger is in the car and the EVSE is just the power source.

If you have a scan tool, then you can monitor the charge request and see what the car is saying to the EVSE. That might provide some clues.

Sounds like a loose 240V line, intermittent ground line or GFCI kicking in.

Have an electrician test the hard wired circuit.

No sounds like the car if fordpass is coming back fully charged. EVSE and wiring shouldn't have anything to do with that.

OP - when you say "fully charged," does it actually say 100% or does it say something else / charged to the desired level?

Yes, stopped after 25 minutes saying 100% charged. This morning deleted ford pass and reinstalled. I have no schedules set on MME or apps. The strange part is I can charge At EA without issue.

Yes, stoped after 25 minutes saying 100% charged.

FordPass is saying the car is at 67% and charge has stopped. The target limit is 100% which is not the same as the current SOC.

What does your CP app say?

Yes, stoped after 19 minutes saying 100% charged.

Your image does not show charged to 100%. It says Target Charge Level 100% and Charge to 100%. Post a picture of your main screen that shows vehicle charge.

Several of us have charge port issues that more or less fit what you are describing. I run a ChargePoint at 60A (48A actual) too, and if I drop the amperage down, it usually works fine.

Charging at your dealer, unfortunately, means nothing unless they have a 60A service, too. My bet is they do not have a 60A L2... ask me how I know. ?

Per your recommendations I lower to 50 amps, charging for the last 20 minutes, you might just have hit a home run! Thanks

What they said. That's not a fordpass issue then since it registers the car at 67%. That's likely a location issue (check where car registers on its built-in nav), chargepoint setting (schedules), utility setting (schedule overrides), or wiring issue.

That's not right. If you have a 60 amp breaker it should be set at 48 on chargepoint! What was it at before?! The flex maxes at 50 so something's not right but definitely don't set it at 50.

Edit: I can't remember what chargepoint asks for settings. If it asks for the size of the breaker then "50" might be ok as it should charge at 40. But I'd be worried for your wiring if you've been using it at the wrong setting for 18 months.

And the flex has status lights. What color is it when it's plugged in but not charging?
