I'm not sure I completely understand this. The 360 view obviously distorts and stitches all of the camera feeds together to make it look like you have an overhead view. Those are not the raw camera feeds.
Yes, there is some distortion. Nothing is cut off from the camera feeds and the greatest distortion occurs at the corners. Look, the 360 feed is a synthetic view because the cameras don’t provide a true 360 view all around the car. Go look at how the cameras are physically oriented. There are only 4 cameras on the vehicle, one at the nose, pointed mostly down
Oh, never mind.

see... the problem is you think facts matter... This is the internet... we are not constrained by facts... we are governed by magic!

"Some" distortion at the corners? I mean, let's use your own test: load the 360 view with the front camera view on the same screen and approach anything vertical (like a sign). The front camera view is crystal clear, while the front portion of the 360 view becomes an unrecognizable mess. That's from the same camera. There's a severe level of software manipulation required to arrive at something that looks like an overhead view.

Does anyone even know what the side camera feeds look like, or are we just speculating based on severely post-processed 360 views? In the folded mirror position it sure looks like they'd have a good view of the front and rear doors (which would be helpful for a Sentry Mode), while the front and rear cameras would also be useful at capturing license plates of cars that back into you while attempting to park/leave, not to mention people approaching.

And I thought it was deploying a microscopic drone a few feet above the car in order to give the live view! Well, there goes all my faith in Ford Engineering! ?

Seriously though, speaking as a Computer Scientist, it’s not much more than a fun mathematical parlour trick. Because the cameras are at fixed locations relative to the car itself, all you would need to do is combine the feeds and apply a simple transformation matrix multiplication to “adjust” the perspective and voila!

But, by this logic that means the front and rear view camera would be shitty if you are using just the 360 degree view to show how much you can see...

Would sentry mode be good at identifying someone? No, unless you can identify someone by their shoes. But that doesn't mean it's useless... sometimes you aren't trying to identify someone to the police, you're trying to convince your insurance that the dent on the front is from some "that's not a mustang!" jerk kicking your mustang emblem and not your bad driving.

People -40c is also -40f
It's not just a fun fact it's a real temp in Minnesota! Lowest ever recorded in MN is -60 that's a real temp not wind chill.

I'll be interested in this update and my rage at -30f. Which is a temp we typically have every year Minneapolis, in the warmer lower half of MN.

I haven't hiked it, but as a young Soldier I spent a few days in -70F in Kotzebue, AK in January. It was so cold that even the Army decided we needed to come back in after a few days.
Nothing works at -60F. Tires crack, steel shatters. And even with the wolf fur parka, your face freezes. I remember going to the firing range at -35 and watching my bullets drop about 30 feet in front of me.

Interesting so this is in addition to the spring heater update that was to fix my issue of freezing and icing up windsheild below -15ish. It was like a switch flipped around that temp. Hope to get this OTA if the 22B28 is new seems like it is not just the old one reissued? Only one coffee so far so no guarantee my reading comprehension is good this am lol.
Maybee we'll get one every spring and fall for the seasons.

My fordpass app has frunk, trunk, windows up / down, unlock , lock, start. Does yours not? (and lights / horn)
Mine too. I wonder if there are older models that don’t accommodate those features. Mine was built June 2022.
