My take is that it's a week to load and cross the border

I'm not sure this is happening at all right now. Those of us that have gotten rail car information have no luck in actually tracking those rail cars with the CSX system. Therefore, my hunch is that there are a bunch of rail cars loaded with new Mach Es waiting to set off. Of course, that is a guess and I could be way off.

I’m trying to make sense of my extended delivery timeline.

Tracker shows car was built on 11/11 then I got notice that the car was on its way/shipped on 11/14 with an expected delivery timeline of 12/20-12/26. Shipping to Charlotte, NC.

Delivery timelines to the west seem quicker based on small sample size of this forum.

I don't disagree that this might be the case, but more often than not people don't get good tracking info and think their car is stuck and all of the sudden their car is in a different location. of course there are those outliers that are still waiting on a car that went into production months ago. so you don't know for sure. black box of transportation. cars go into shipped status and then emerge on the other side and we never know the real process.

i think that ford revamped their west shipping strategy and it might have become the more efficient route now. before i would have said it was midwest, followed by south and east and then west last.

does anyone know if ordertrack.app ever updates the shipping info? (where it says freight id, origin, destination, etc)

Yeah, unfortunately, my car sat built, but still "In Production," for a week before it showed shipped. For some reason, my car and a bunch of the first 500 in the first batch sat around for a long time in the factory. It may be a mystery that is never solved...

Same here, however that changed. But I did get confirmation from Ford Chat, who seemed upset they were answering another question about ordering updates lol, did confirm it being built had shipping information but wasn't able to get it for me.

As of 11/17 my GTPE is in Laredo, TX - there's no assigned convoy/railcar info right now, and it's nearly a month out from the delivery window - but hey, it's in the States! Since the destination is Dallas, I'm surprised that the ~8 hour drive is a month by rail and other processes.

Has anyone successfully tracked a railcar # stating with KCS? The usual methods provided on this forum don't seem to work. Any suggestions?

Guess I'll just call a couple of these tracking companies and see if I can speak to an actual rep instead of those automated systems.

So I know both ford chat and my dealership told me my car would go Mexico , flagstaff az, riverside, then to Los Angeles. However, I spoke with them today and my car is in Laredo TX so I’m not sure what is going on.

Also it seems they only have locations at major check points. Mine went from lecheria MX to Texas. So at this point I’m not sure where cars are going from to get to California.

Spoke with FC today and my car was received at junction point, Laredo, TX. Their last system update was on 11/17. Delivery date did not change.

Uh oh, this may not be good news for us CA deliveries. This seems like the route that dumps cars up in MO, where they tend to sit for extended periods. I certainly hope not, but I'm not sure this is a positive sign?

Did you ever get a train car # out of them?

I already had a railcar# from FC, but I am unable to track the KCS# using the different methods suggested. Figured if I could not track, at least I could get some kind of update

FC confirmed I’m on rail at number KCS 008378, which left Mexico, but they can’t say where it is… I think others said they were having trouble tracking KCS, so not sure I’ll even try the phone numbers unless anyone else has luck.
