Update on mine - my car's been broke since 15th August - just got an email today that I've a further 4 week wait for the part (originally told 6-8 weeks in the beginning of October). Not sure what to do.. considering rejecting the car, will be speaking to the finance company to discuss options and compensation.

Seems like others have had a similarly long wait.. totally unacceptable.. I'm sure they have their side of the story, but I'll judge once they dish out the reimbursements and compensation, but it's still left me without a vehicle I'm still paying for.

The wait should not have been since August for the part. If your dealer did not order the part as a priority item through COPIS the part will likely never arrive. Have you started a case through Ford’s Battery Electric Vehicle team? They can help prioritize things and guide your dealer through the entire process. ??

We took delivery of our MME GT on 10/8. Today, we got the High Voltage Battery Warning and Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power messages. At 1,772 miles. 45 days into our ownership.

Thanks to this thread and the great folks in this community, we are prepared to deal with this.
- We have an appointment at our dealer for 7:30am Friday,
- A claim number and assigned rep from the BEV team at Ford (who already has presented the rental reimbursement coverage for us) and
- A printed copy of TSB 22-2178 for our service manager.

Keep Calm and Carry On! Fingers crossed this gets fixed quickly and permanently. Aside from this, we have LOVED our first month-and-a-half of ownership of our MME.

Wow - Long delivery time! When did you, if you did, get the recall software update?
The update was done before I took delivery. Honestly I have no idea what the car was doing before I bought it. I suspect it was built, sat somewhere for months, then sat at the dealer for months with a ridiculous ADM (at one point they were putting $20k on these at my dealer). When I bought it, it had 117 miles on it, and was inside the showroom. Long story short, I was going to order a '23 CR1, but our car was totalled due to a bad previous repair, and we needed a car ASAP. Our dealer had two GTs in stock- our Star white, and a Grabber Blue that had 417 miles on it (we test drove that one).

February something....
Oh, good. I don't mean good you had the failure, but good your car was produced prior to the new HVBJB going into production. So far, none of the new ones have failed as far as we know. I was worried that maybe you were the first, but no.

Sorry it happened to you. I am at 20k with no failure yet. Not really worried about it, and I wish it would go ahead and fail so I can get the new part.

Understood what you meant, no worries.

I am glad we're getting the new part, and hope this is it as far as issues with the car. Other than this, and the quirky issue with the light switch, we are very happy with the car.

My car is down at the dealer due to the HVBJB. The good news was my wife drove the car to Pasadena and back after a full charge. I drove it for a few miles got out of the car came back an hour later tried to start the car and got stopped safely now. Car didn't even start immediately call AAA as I don't have any trust in the towing capabilities of the Ford roadside assistance due to all the negative feedback plus my own personal experiences and wait times. quickly get the car on the flatbed due to the help from this forum as far as towing a car correctly the tow truck driver which was nice for him and he was grateful. He towed the car safely to Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa, California where they have done multiple repairs for this problem including the sales manager, who owns one Mach E performance model, and had his done. My car is a job 2 MachE GT 2021 .

Quick question, I just got the powertrain malfunction/high voltage battery warning. I’m about 200 miles from home. How worried should I be for my drive back home? It’s Thanksgiving of course, and nothing is open.

Drive on. Don't stop until the car makes you stop.

Mine took exactly 1 month (Oct 21 to Nov 21). I mistakenly waited 2 weeks to contact Ford as the dealer assured me they placed an emergency order through COPIS. But when I finally called Ford, they couldn't see an order in COPIS. So no idea what was really true. Regardless though, be sure to call Ford ASAP.

Anyway, despite the delay, it seems to be fine now. Happened on a road trip 1000 miles from home, and we just drove it the 1000 miles back this week with no problem.
