So here's something you don't see everyday...

Here's the session log from the 11th showing the programming that went on that day. Take note of the names of the modules that got updated:
3FMTK3SUXMMA28315-15-Oct-22Work.webp

And now the list of currently available updates:
3FMTK3SUXMMA28315-15-Oct-22.webp

And on the 12th the did update your WACM module to address a phone charging issue I would guess. And that went fine.

No idea why many of the modules the session log says updated successfully on the 11th are still showing up in your available update list....like it never happened.

Mike
So my wife messages me that apparently the passenger door no longer unlocks properly. That was our state before it went in for updates. Similarly, it still regularly loads the wrong profile when she or I approach the car, even when solo. It rather smells like the updates didn't take, and that's why they are all still showing, even if the logs say the second dealership did them properly. And maybe they did, maybe my car is extra broken and just won't take updates to some modules? Who knows.

I hadn't quite scheduled the 10k service (I need to, we're at 9.8k or so) but I guess now I'm glad I didn't. I first get to re-open a new case, same as the old case, and then take it in for both.

Hi Mike,

No updates since taking delivery and I wonder if the dealer gave us a fully updated vehicle or are we missing anything. Thanks! VIN: 3FMTK3SU1NMA49491

Dealers don't update the car before handing over the keys to you unless there's a recall or some other requirement from Ford. And even then they will only update just what they're told to update.

Hi Mike! Thank you so much! Your educated guess is correct! I have a select, no tech package so no blue cruise for me.

Forgive for what is probably a naive question...should I be waiting for OTA? Or will the dealer update?

Many thanks!
Well I wouldn't hold my breath for OTAs for the majority of that list....I don't see that happening at any point in the future.

Wow Mike ?

Thank you so much for pulling through for me!
and including all the extra information,

Here in the UK Ford Mach-e Customer Service is a complete nightmare, and getting any information is worse than looking for chicken teeth! It’s diabolical, and run by a handful a people working from home on laptops with no previous experience nor technical knowledge at all. It’s a complete joke. I never experienced any more incompetence from any Customer Service. How I wish I had some contact with Ford UK Senior Mgt!

Our OTA last was 3.2.7 in may with a couple minor updates since and no sign or signal of any further scheduled

The only update they will approve for me is updating my IPC and a recall 22P25. which deals with the Thatcham security ( that denies UK cars from PAAK, and many other features enjoyed there.)

I wish you great day of feasting and relaxing with family over the long weekend!

Thanksgiving like 4th July here in the UK is not a holiday.
I will be up at driving at 7am driving 45 mins to closest EV qualified Ford Dealer. It’s not celebrated here, but as an American expat we often DYI one here.

A bit of triva, Boston UK, was actually the starting place for the Pilgrims and the Mayflower! Unfortunately word got out, and they were all arrested while trying to board the boat. Nobody could not leave England and Church of England without permission then! The Ship went back to the Netherlands, and returned later, going through London, and finally departing from Southampton.

Our Boston football (soccer) team is even called ‘The Pilgrims’ But most people do not know why!

All the best Mike ?

Any harm in waiting on updating (rolling back) those door modules?
Numerous people, including myself, were experiencing random, false door opened security alerts. After I used FDRS to update to the latest versions of the door modules in FDRS the alarms have gone away.

Hi Mike,

Thank you very much for looking this up. Do you happen to know if these are OTA updates that I will eventually get or do I need to request these from the dealer or find someone with FDRS?

APIM updates usually do eventually show up as OTAs because they add features (like Alexa and Streaming the Today Show).

The others will likely not come as OTAs. I don't see you be able to convince a dealer tech to do them for free though either. If you can find another member who is local and bribe them with doughnuts...

Showing a build date in FDRS as 22 Nov '22 which is normal. Car probably became activated on that date but rolled out of the plant the next day.

So..interesting...your car got the "-AL" revision of the door modules that got rolled back to the "-AH" version for most of us DIY'ers about two weeks ago.

So yeah. Wonder why they didn't just push the newer "-AH" version at the plant three days ago instead of sending it out with software that's already been replaced in the wild.

Crazy, could the module for these have been programmed a few weeks ago, with the AL version, and then sit on the shelf(so to speak). Now are installed without being reprogrammed.

Should I push for these to get updated before delivery or didn't the rollback do anything?

Thank you for all your help.
