Yeah, TTGX-XXXXXX.

I don't know what to make of this. Yesterday morning, NS listed my car as departed from Fort Worth, TX. I assumed it was making its way up to Kansas City like I've read about a ton on here. This morning though, it says Merkel, TX, which is out west, near Abilene. So I wonder if some CA-bound cars could be skipping KC and heading this direction from DFW. Will keep checking in.
Originally my dealer said Nogales / riverside then so cal. I’m in Los Angeles area what part of California are you?

Now it says Sweetwater, TX, just a couple hours later. Even further west. I’m starting to get my hopes up pretty high that I’ll be skipping the Kansas City mess.
Does anyone know if there’s any chance my car could have switched railcars in Fort Worth and now I’m just tracking the railcar carrying something else? Or do railcars tend to stay consistent?

Batch 9217, 1030/1419, estimate delivery Dec 6-12 (has never changed). Got an unsolicited email from my dealer in Morgan Hill, CA yesterday that my car was in final inspection in Kansas City. He said he would check again in mid December. I will let you decipher what that means. Have enjoyed reading all the post which has kept me from calling Morgan Hill everyday asking "where is my car!"
Do you know when your car got to KC? Mine arrived at KC on 11/24 as per chat (dealer is no help, he still thinks my car is in Mexico o_O). Hoping mine could also be with yours.

I just did FC and they said last posted location was Laredo TX on 11/19 so if we are still in the same rail car we should be in KC soon (assuming it left TX on or shortly after the 19th). It takes 6-7 days.
I will guess it should arrive in KC sometime later today or tomorrow. Yours looks like it is about 2 days behind mine.

I am in Northern San Diego county - Rail Car TTGX 156118. I tried all the trackers and CSX shows car was released 10/4/22 in Toronto. When I track on Norfolk Southern Intermodal, it changes the rail car letters to TTX (from TTGX), says it is on a flat car in Texas which leads me to believe it is not an automotive car carrier. My dealer provided an update from VinView (by FreightVerify) on Tuesday and the car was still in Cuautitlan.

The dealer also confirmed that the car is going to MO before heading west to CA.

The dealer stated that the new tracking system has been fairly accurate but is also qualifying that delays happen.

Thanks for trying to curb my enthusiasm XD (no sarcasm, I actually want that). Here's more things that keep my hopes up a little.

The TTX wikipedia article lists this about the company (so they do appear to be an automotive carrier):
TTX's railcar fleet consists of flatcars, autoracks, boxcars and gondolas. Half of the fleet is dedicated to flatcars and intermodal wells, with a quarter dedicated to auto racks for hauling finished vehicles.
The TTX about equipment page lists the following (so I think NS tracking is changing the prefix to TTX for any of TTX's railcars, including TTGX, ETTX, CTTX):
Most of TTX’s automotive flatcars are either bi-levels initialed TTGX for carrying larger vehicles such as SUV’s and light trucks, tri-levels initialed ETTX for handling smaller passenger cars, or CTTX marks incorporating a convertible deck design.
Please correct misunderstandings I have above, because I don't want my hopes so high if it doesn't make sense. But I do think NS is accurately tracking the TTGX railcar number. FC this morning says that's still my accurate railcar number (but they still don't show any update since Junction Point in Laredo on 11/19). My dealer is a little slow to respond and just keeps telling me it's in Texas (which would line up either with what FC sees in Laredo, or if they have VINView, and it's still in Texas, which lines up with this NS tracking).

You may be on to something with how NS is utilizing rail car numbers. I just called NS and the rail car is in Temple TX. I does seem to be heading to MO.

I was a bit concerned because I tracked the car on Tuesday and it was in TX but the dealer VinView showed the car in Cuautitlan on the same day.

so strange, none of the automated systems have info on my railcar (AOK 501589). i wonder if there is a new railcar for my car; i haven't checked with ford chat in a while.

I’ll be interested in hearing how yours moves over the next few days. Mine also trekked up through Temple, looked like it was going to MO until it got to Fort Worth and then just went west down I-20.

My order is finally shipped. In production 11/7, built 11/24, shipped 11/25. Ford chat told me rail car number TTGX953444.

CSX shows it is in OKC, last updated July 12th.
Norfork southern shows no tracing information.

It is so confusing.

Cody - I am hoping my car heads west out of Fort Worth instead of continuing north. Once the rail car gets past Fort Worth, I'll let you know the direction it has gone.

Nothing seems straightforward with the entire scheduling, build or shipping process.

I hope our NorCal cars are also taking the hard left turn at DFW...
