Showing a build date in FDRS as 22 Nov '22 which is normal. Car probably became activated on that date but rolled out of the plant the next day.

So..interesting...your car got the "-AL" revision of the door modules that got rolled back to the "-AH" version for most of us DIY'ers about two weeks ago.

So yeah. Wonder why they didn't just push the newer "-AH" version at the plant three days ago instead of sending it out with software that's already been replaced in the wild.

Crazy, could the module for these have been programmed a few weeks ago, with the AL version, and then sit on the shelf(so to speak). Now are installed without being reprogrammed.

Should I push for these to get updated before delivery or didn't the rollback do anything?

Thank you for all your help.

Sorry, learning this as best I can. On screen is says I have sync 4 version: 22082_PRODUCT. Does this mean anything?

You can ask...I think they have to connect to the car to take it out of transport mode anyway. And each door module takes 1 minute to update. But they aren't under any obligation to update anything without a recall or stop-sell, just so you know.

Under that line there will be the rest of the Sync revision number that is most useful (3 digits long ...like 364 or 539, etc.)

Hoping to get my VIN checked to see what is available for updates. Seems like I can ask the dealer to update, but knowing what all it needs going in will help. Seems weird that they're not required to update the car before it goes out the door, but that's neither here nor there.

VIN 3FMTK1SS5PMA01577
Built 11/16

Just like the previous poster... FDRS says your car was 'awakened' a day earlier than it came out of the plant...so the official build date is actually the 15th of Nov 22.

And just like the previous poster you have the same 4 door module updates (actually rollbacks) so you'll go from "-AL" back to "-AH" revisions whenever that's done.

And the reason your car won't get updated before you take delivery is that Ford (the corporation) and the individual dealerships are not owned by the same people. The techs work for the dealership and get paid by them. So if Ford will pay the labor for the tech to do the work (like in a recall situation or customer satisfaction program 'CSP') then they'll do the work as long as somebody's paying their time.

These door modules take about 1 minute apiece to do. You may be able to get your sales person to work with the shop so that during PMI they can knock it out. It really will depend on your relationship with your dealership.

Much appreciated, and thank you for explaining why they aren't chomping at the bit to update. What is the best strategy to keep up to date on the updates that aren't available OTA? I'm guessing it would be bringing it into the dealer for regular service intervals or paying them to update periodically?

Yes, or getting together with like minded folks to share a Mongoose cable, powersupply and splitting the cost of a two day license for FDRS.

Unbelievably, I'm still waiting after two trips in for updates. Still no Blue Cruise even though they managed to force other updates. Now talking with service manager. Can I get this run again if it is still available. Much appreciated. VIN is 3FMTK3SU1MMA21429.

So it would certainly appear that your cruise control updates are not happening for some reason, but it looks like some things have been updated, like your Sync seems to be up-to-date, but other things aren't.

I'd schedule the car in for 21G01 to get BlueCruise done by a tech. A year and a half is long enough to wait.

Hmmm well it looks like they are possibly waiting for an answer from the tech helpline cause no programming went on today. The last day any programming happened was the 16th.

BTW you are entitled to get that HVAC update programmed for free. Here's the ETIS notice:

Thanks Mike,

Actually, I have to schedule to take it back for another chance. I have the car now. Any idea why bluecruise isn't working. Seems like all the updates related to that have been done. Option is in the settings but it just doesn't appear when cruise is on and I've been on many bluecruise roads.

Appreciate a check on update status, VIN 3FMTK3SU8NMA32171. Build date July 2022, and delivery Oct 2022, concerned as there has been no OTA updates since the vehicle was put in service even though everything appears to have been configured properly, WiFi and automatic updates etc. Dealer says unless the vehicle is showing fault status there is nothing they can do. Thanks

FDRS for Non-Motorcraft Licensees is down at present. They are aware of the problem. Watch this space.

This means there are no login dialog boxes for name and password visible...so we can't login. It's just a plain white blank page instead of a login box. So until this is fixed........

Hello to all team members

I would appreciate a check on my VIN WF0TK1EMXMMA54963
as I cannot see OTA updates happening.
Also any remark if any.

Thanks in advance!

Howdy Mike...
Just had all the recalls done and "all" the updates. Service center say it's ready to pick up, just want to make sure they actually updated EVERYTHING...
Would you kindly run my vin again so I can make sure before I pick her up.

Please and thank you,
Doc Ray
