Just installed the 34.5.3 update and now it locks up after I enter the VIN of the vehicle I want to look up. Doh!

I think I'll go reinstall 34.5.2 for now
Okay....I experienced one hiccup the first time I tried but the second time and all subsequent times it's all gone fine.

Mine's obviously having a pre Christmas crisis ?

I've reinstalled and rebooted and still gets stuck on any VIN I try to pull up. I'll leave it a few hours and give it another go :)

I haven't upgraded FDRS yet, but hanging like that has been a fairly common occurrence for me. If I leave it hourglassed for a while, it usually wakes up eventually. Not sure why.

Yeah, based on your post I decided to try some other VINs.....it's now doing the same thing to me.

But I don't think it has anything to do with the update cause there were no delays this morning after I first installed. I think it's a network connectivity issue.

EDIT: I now think the server is not responding. This thing is doing the same thing it does on Sunday mornings when they are doing maintenance. Long time to download the VIN info followed by a message saying there's a problem resolving the VIN.

Do you have a link to the power supply you bought? I found a link to this 50A power supply from another thread. Seems this, along with some jumper cables and some properly crimped ring terminals that can handle 30A+ should work, right? This is less than 1/2 the price I see for the Chlore Pro-Logix 100A PS I see some others are using. It says you can dial the V from 9-15V so it seems this should work for that task.

I bought a less expensive power supply and it failed part way through an update. Having had that harrowing experience, I returned the thing and bought a PL6100. Not worth the headache in my book. ??

Not for me. At least not yet.
Have you done a network scan at all? Wonder if we'll need one of those to trigger one of the 4.XX updates to show up, when the time comes.

It really doesn't seem like FDRS updates are VIN specific, other than year/job. I don't think we've ever seen a slow FDRS roll out of updates to people who had the same year/job, have we? Where OTA is heavily batched, for obvious reasons.

It's a "stealth" issue because you won't know you messed things up until after the fact. What I mean by that is that you'll likely be able to do all the updates in your list...but when FDRS reports the changes to the cloud the Nano has the tendency to scramble the data it sends in to the cloud. Well the cloud asbuilt data is what the system uses to determine if you need a new update, and if that data is corrupted or has errors or is otherwise unrecognizable then no new updates will be queued for you in FDRS for modules with messed up data.
Mike, do you know if that issue can be fixed by doing a network scan with a properly supported adapter? So the updates show up afterwards?

I have been using a PL6100 without any issues. When I was looking for a less expensive power supply to use at a 2nd home, I settled on this one :

PowerMax PMBC 55 Amp -12V Battery Charger Power Supply|Battery Mantainer| Flash Reprogrammer & Adjustable Power Supply with 15ft Cables, Voltage Display and Mounting Brackets Included https://a.co/d/bZwDH3r.

It worked great on an hours long update of many modules.

There is a member over on the F-150 side who is a module whisperer. He has said more than once that if the data gets messed up using a Nano it can be corrected using the Mongoose. I have no personal experience one way or another but I do have complete faith in what this guy says will work.
