To sum it up: The first Mach-e delivery is rumored to be on Pearl Harbor Day. That’s exactly 4 weeks away. Before that can happen, the EPA tests results, crash test results (poor dummies), and a variety of other things conducted on production vehicles need to become official.

I think we can all hang loose for a couple of weeks before we press the eject button.

Not sure I agree on Tesla using higher priced components. Their Tablets have been notoriously problematic, resulting in yellowing of screens.

They used a block of wood and rubber bands for their new Heat Pump:

Paint quality is terrible:

I was a Tesla zealot for years but year after year quality issues and reports like these made me decide that until they actually act as a like a car company and not a software company, no way they would get my business.

I'm not arguing with you I'm just saying I'll bet the MachE is better quality inside and out. I'm forming my opinion based on my experience with the Model 3 and Y, and spending time with the MachE at the Roadshow.

Now I very much believe Tesla has a huge advantage when it comes to energy efficiency. Tesla has over a decade of data and science to fall back on and the current lineup ranges reflect that.

I disagree completely. Not about what you wrote; that makes total sense. But what the heck happened to your avatar???? I liked the cat. BTW, "It's duck season!"

Totally agree. The powertrain is their bread and butter and has been fined tuned to near perfection. It's most likely going to be a few years before they have real competition there.

As Ford gets the MachE on the road and starts collecting real world data from thousands of cars, they should be able to tweak efficiency in the same manner as Tesla.

it’s ok if a bunch of people want to cancel their orders. I’m pretty far back in the queue and wouldn’t mind jumping up a few slots. ?
I am not canceling my order having come this far :)

She's hiding atm. There's a kitten in the house and she doesn't like kittens, not the motherly type I think. And I like the duck. ;)

Me either.
Range is pretty far down on the list of things that matter most to me.
Heck, I drive a Ford Focus Electric right now with a 33.5kWh battery. About 30.5 kWh is usable and I average about 120 miles per charge so I would be a happy camper if my next vehicle can double that figure. :)

I am hoping for an average MPGe figure in the 103 range. That would meet or exceed my expectations.

Is Ford in damage control mode? You joined the group this morning and this is your first post. Can we double check your position at Ford? Linkedin,Twiiter, etc.?
It wouldn't be damage control if it doesn't turn out to be true (in the next three weeks of this month)....it would just piss people off. So far Wildthing and Mike Levine have said the same thing.

EPA should have been release about a month ago
Interesting because the 2021 F-150 started production in October and it's EPA numbers have not been released either.
