Wow, I'd love to have a one click camera button! But I don't know if my car won't get updates, or just haven't gotten any yet. I've had a 2022 GTPE since Oct, and I've never gotten any updates. Is this something I should be concerned with or just wait it out?

Here's some pictures of what I see.

That is how mine was. No way to schedule updates. If you can't schedule updates you will have to take it in to the dealer. I spent hours on the phone with Ford. Took it to the dealer, and to my surprise I got this! Your screen should actually say software update, and not system update. You will still get OTA that don't require the car to be off. Once you hit one where your car has to be off, you'll be stuck. I got mine in Oct too. I think there was a batch that got messed up. The others at the dealer were the same.

Quick question, is there still a way to adjust temperature and seat heating intensity just by touchscreen and without using the dial? For example by "dragging" on the bar that appears above the dial when the appropriate mode is triggered?

I know I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely hate using the dial. It feels incredibly cheap and often doesn't register single "notch" turns.

This sync update fixed my car. I finally have the option to schedule and turn on or off automatic updates.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Happy accident at Ford service! I got the new updated SYNC 4A installed!! Non Early-Access EEBD264C-723C-4857-A64F-48035E4ECC5E

It only took 9 months. But not having those options never kept me from getting updates.

So TPMS is not available unless it’s consuming the entire screen? That’s still pretty useless then.
FWIW, I check TPMS more from FordPass before I even get into the car. Checked my pressure then went to garage to adjust the night before leaving on a trip. Not as I was driving off the next morning.

Yes. It still works the old way as well.

You absolutely had the choice to have a car with cameras - you chose poorly ? But you have an amazingly cool frunk Poodle! ?
Naah, I didn't choose poorly. The metal roof was more important. Cameras would have been nice, but Ford wouldn't let me have both. It's just stupid that Ford forces you to buy two options that are listed separately. They should have just made it an options package instead of making a customer buy two options. ??

You chose wisely.

But wiser still would have been the GT Regular Edition, with steel roof and cameras. ;)

Tiles would have been more useful if I could “pin” them, or choose what’s there. As it stands, they keep moving since it’s ordered based on “recently used” which drives me nuts. I glance down to see my tire pressure on a cold morning, and now it’s gone and replaced with the AM radio station I listened to a football game on yesterday.
If the tiles you want get pushed to the back of the line, you can swipe down on cards to “dismiss” them. The others will slide forward until the ones you want are back.

Technically Ford did allow it- the '21 and '22 Select w/ Comfort Tech allowed both the metal roof and cameras. But then you would've been compromising on other things I imagine!

Yeah they also offered it on the 2021 GT, just not on the GT-PE. Oh, well. I made the compromise that made the most sense to me. ?‍♂?

But that's stupid. In the current system, tire pressures are available when other apps (such as navigation) are in use. Why should I have to dismiss an application such as navigation, just to check tire pressure? This is a reduction in functionality.
Make no mistake, this update was not to make the system more usable. If it was they would have eliminated the lag and stuttering. This updates purpose was to strip out functionality and details to make it easier to roll out to more models. Removing the car icon in the upper left makes it easier to put it on more models. The elimination of the small main app with larger tiles means less work for them to maintain 2 layouts. It’s lazy cost cutting pure and simple. This update is a huge reduction in functionality and the more I see the less I like it. My car will be worse after this update and I will be complaining to Ford about it.

Turning off updates in 5-4-3-2
I almost did this when I got me 22 in November, I wish I had. Now I have the buggy 3.5.3 POS update. So my choice is stay on the buggy version, or move to their latest software excretion.

In case someone thinks I just don’t like change, I am the first to update my devices and frequently run betas to get access to new features as soon as possible. This is a reduction of features with no trade off.

I actually can’t think of a situation in which I would want to stop and peck away on the screen for 3-5 seconds before pulling into my garage or a parking spot. But maybe that’s just me.
It’s two taps is all, it’s not even 3 seconds.

Due to the nature of our garage, the cameras are essential to parking without hitting either side of the garage door opening (single car slot), to avoid bashing the BlueIon PVE batteries or the absurdly expensive triathlon bikes on the wall at the far end. Stopping is much less costly than pulling in without the cameras and hoping you get it exactly right.

I think being able to tap a small tile and have it pop up to display its information and then return back to its small size after 15 seconds or so would be a useful compromise. A long press or a double tap could be used to display the tile's information full screen if that was desired. There's really no need to resize the entire screen to have the best of both worlds.

I’m going to pass if I have to look at “Unbridle” instead of “Unbridled.”
They could go back to "unbridled", but then you'd have to look at "engaged" instead of "engage".
HaHa.
