I have to share my Grizzl-E duo between three plugins currently so my MMe tends to only get plugged in once a week, usually starting around 50-60% and topping off at 100%. I tried doing the charge % limiting, but spent too many years chasing F on my gassers to break that habit. My LEAF and Grand Cherokee tend to plug in daily so the garage is always in use. I'm not wasting my time trying to trickle charge Pale Rider... (four days is a bit much to me...). I'll just play musical cars instead.

I recharge my extended battery when it gets down to 25-10% to 100%. My daily commute is about 35 miles so about once every 6-7 days. Actually pretty similar to my qx30.

I commute ~90 miles a day. Charge the 68 KWh to 80% every nite. Burn from 34% to 45% a day summer-winter.

I generally charge every day, but the couple of times when I haven't usually no lower than 40-50%.

I just don't want to be in a position where I can't use the car for something unplanned. Yes, I can jump in another car, but I may as well not have bought this one if I'm not going to have it available when I need it.

We hardly ever drive. We drive less than 2K miles a year, so I just leave it at 60% charge. I leave it plugged in while it is at home.

We drive a few miles, come back, park and charge. We were told that since we don't drive much, we should store it at 60%.

So, the lowest we go is 50% and the highest is 60%. If we plan a longer trip, we will charge it to 80%.

Yes, my wife and I both work from home.

If you are going on a trip, then press the "Charge to 100% in FordPass" with enough time to reach 100% before leaving your house. It tough enough out there finding good chargers, you don't want to start 20% lower than where you could be.

I plug in every night, unless I happen to take a very short drive and I'm still over 75% or so. Then I just won't bother plugging in again.

I appreciate the advice, thank you! Of course, when I say longer trip, I'm talking about 20 miles. LOL!

I drive between 60-90 miles for my work commute and errands 5 days a week. I plug in every night regardless of SOC and charge to 90%. I only go to 100% if I plan a long day trip. I do not drive cross country with my Mach E since the DC fast chargers are slow.

In another thread, it was mentioned that an occasional charge to 100% will help to calibrate the BMS. Can anyone verify whether that is indeed true or not?
For what its worth, our son-in-law is an electrical engineer who drives a Model 3. He was uncertain if it also applies to our MME but Tesla recommends an occasional recalibration of the battery management module. Charge to 100% and then drive it until SOC is <10%.

btw: who ever wrote the poll; the 30 - 40% one was Funny!!! I got a chuckle, thanks....

I echo the sentiment about driving it like an ice car. I charge when I start to get around the 20% level; currently up to 85%. In owning the car for 20 months, I have only had to fast charge it to get across town once. And in the big scheme of things if you figure 20 min fast charge (depending on how empty you are) v. 5 min gas fil up....I'd say no big deal and in fact I'm way ahead, since I have not had to stand at a gas pump for 5 min 52 weeks a year..................However, kind of miss Gas Pump TV ? ? ?.... no not really.
by the way, only other Mustang was a '68, hard top, lime green, 289("302"), automatic(so everyone could drive it) - probably does not count, but it was still fun at the time and was economical

It's not an unreasonable thing to do. The BMS that manages the battery likely counts coulombs and there will always be accumulated errors and over time that could cause issues with accuracy. Bringing it to 100% and then down very low without charging and then recharging on L1 or L2 to 100% without driving will help recalibrate.

It's not something that's worth doing very often or it would be included in the maintenance schedule.

I chose the 45-60% bracket but I set the cap at 85% for my home charger. In general I plug in at most every other day, sometimes every 3rd or 4th day depending on how much driving I've done. I work from home a majority of the time - if I start commuting again my pattern will probably change.

There’s a thread on here somewhere that contains Ford’s battery recalibration procedure. It’s pretty similar to that.

Wow, so many on here never going to 100%. I guess I better change my habits. I don't bother to charge until I get down to maybe 30% or lower and have always charged to 100% knowing that Ford built that buffer in (I had a Volt before this and I wouldn't have thought of charging less than its full 40 mile range). Also, we do take longer trips about once a week that nearly requires the full range, hence another reason we charge to 100%. However, those trips are usually planned so I guess I should get into the habit of only charging to 90% and then to 100% the day before the longer trip.
