Well it's been around for like more than ten years now, and I've only used it on and off to tweak 'hidden' settings that were not exposed in the vehicle's user interfaces. That's where it shines really.Perhaps a little training on how to use FORSCAN? Maybe you have it somewhere else, and I haven't run across yet, thanks.

Get free version. Sign up for free trial two month extended license. Connect with your existing laptop and the Mongoose if you have one or another recommended adapter like the OBDLink MX+ (BlueTooth is the one I use). The cabled version would work as well I understand.
The rest of the actual programming stuff should be in the tutorial he provides. You'll need the current spreadsheet for the model and year of your car/truck.
