I did updates on Wednesday and had no RFA update available. Today I am seeing the RFA available on every car I checked. Will likely do this later today.

Is that across multiple model years?

Check that....it just showed up for my '21J1 and it wasn't there about two hours ago.

Well now I guess I have a reason to go update since it's the RFA and the latest HVAC I hadn't gotten around to doing. :)

I wonder if that RFA is also an OTA? I'm gonna check to see if it is before I do the update with FDRS.

How would we check that?

Well I sat in the car with it running and hit the check updates button and then when that came back with the last PowerUp I had gotten (4.2.4) I hit Connectivity, paused a second and went back to check updates again just to make sure there wasn't something in the pipe.

I did stop by the service advisor's desk while in town and had a look at the OTA dashboard and there wasn't anything showing, but he did show me that I had a DTC for the RFA that led him to the attached SSM 50845....which said to update the RFA. ?

So back to the house and did the update first for the HVAC (went from "-AL" to "-AM", took 6 minutes), and then the RFA (went from "-AM" to "-BC", and took 22 minutes).

After the HVAC update I did get the same "Stop Safely Now" error message on the instrument panel and in FordPass that I got when I did the door modules back on 30 March (SOBDMC issue) ....but I cleared it by doing the self-test but then after the RFA, it didn't do it again. I checked all DTCs and confirmed "green" before disconnecting.

Just did RFA with no drama. Best part was it kept the DC/DC converter on, so I didn't need to hook up the power supply.

Hey, anyone had same problem, than me, I had speed sign recognition before I updated my car and still have but I can't anymore configure the exceeding speed? I did configure it to +9 and luckily it remembers it, but I can't change it anymore, the setting is gone... ?

How does the service advisor check for DTCs? Doesn’t the car need to be hooked up? I had to show an advisor once how to check my OTA dashboard.

I had a similar issue last year and I had to delete my profile from the vehicle to fix it.

When I recreated my profile again the functionality had returned back to normal.

Jobi, actually I turned speed sign recognition off. We have some roads around where I live that the signs have been left up after construction is ended and I got tired of the continuous changes. So I set the speed to what I know I can get away with and my car ignores the signs. Works great!

Just did the 3rd or 4th iteration of the door module updates and the car is finally keeping the DC/DC on -- imagine that. Gosh, it's like it could have been done that way all along. Instead of using a charger I just toss 1.6kWh worth of LFP into the frunk.
