With the rumors of the new prices $75/month or $800/year for BC. Do people really use it enough to pay that price? I had my car since Dec 2022 and have only used it a few short times. Mainly just showing people. The car range is not far enough where I use it take much for a trip. I don't think people use it enough to pay that laughable price. Does GMC charge that much. Chevy EV starting to look like a better choice in the future. I can pay someone to drive me somewhere for that price, so it would be hands free too, lol.

The new price options of $75/month or $800/year are only for 2023.5 customers who ordered after May 3rd.

I use BC 4 times a week (back and forth to work 2 days a week at about 20 miles of BC each way). And I also use it on every road trip.

I think you are wrong about the price. I have a 2022 with BC for 3 years. I asked about what the cost to renew BC is going to be. They email be back about my warranty and BS. This is what they said from Ford not my dealer but Ford.

Your extended warranty is still currently processing. I do not see it in the system yet on my side. The Bluecruise for your year Mach-E would be $800 for the year or $75 a month.

I would take info from ford frontline reps with a grain of salt, @hybrid2bev would be a better source

I selected 3 days/week. I quite like the system. That said, even if I used it every day, I think $75/month is outrageous. I'd probably talk myself into a $200-300 annual subscription but these numbers they're currently looking at are silly in my opinion.

The bulletin specifically says it's for 2023 model year orders from May 3rd forward. It specifically and particularly makes no mention of the pricing be retroactive to prior model years. Because it does not say the pricing is effective for all model years, then it's only for 23.5 model year pricing.

With Ford communications, if it's not specifically included then it's excluded.

Don't take what frontline customer service says as fact. Read it for yourself:

I provided a breakdown of my pricing rational here:

I voted for 3 times per week. I am not sure what I would pay to keep it once the initial period is up. As an aside, my 2018 GMC truck just had the connectivity expire. It allowed me to locate the vehicle and unlock/lock the doors, remote start like FP. They wanted I think $15 per month to renew or their upgraded version for $49 per month. I took a pass.

I use it most times I drive the car, and every time on trips. I do like how it works, but my wife refuses to even use cruise control when she drives, and the car is primarily for her anyway.

I would likely have renewed it for $200 per year, but certainly not for $800 per year. GM SuperCruise is currently $25 per month as a stand alone option, $15 per month if you also have OnStar. GM normally provides the first three years free.

Honesty, I'd be more curious how many miles people use BCHF a week. I may turn BC on 2-3 time a week, but rarely use it for more than 4 miles at a time because it cuts out too often around Dallas

I use it 4 or 5 times per 5 miles. It's on, it's off, it's kinda on again, hold the wheel, it's off, canceled, hands free. So I could possibly used it like 25 to 30 times a day.

I use it several times a month, for about 100-500 miles each time. I might consider paying $10-$20/month or up to about $200/year... Maybe. But maybe not.

I went for zero. I can’t use it and even if my car could use it I more than likely wouldn’t. ?‍♂?
