I checked my '21J1 this morning. It was up-to-date yesterday and now has yet another HVAC update showing as available.
This is prefect timing. My car is going to the dealer this week, and I was concerned that they wouldn't clear the flags for the BECM recall and HVAC CSP if there weren't any updates for them to apply (since I applied the original updates a while ago). Now there's fresh updates for both, so they shouldn't give me a hard time about clearing those flags.

Yup, same here, the DC to DC converter was operational so no hit on the 12VDC battery, it was fine, I didn't hook up the PSU either...shame on me! Latest version list attached!

Do the instructions change to skip the part about saying external power must be connected? Or it’s always the same instructions regardless of which modules are being updated ?

Anyway, so everyone in America who has updated their car has 91kwh usable now? ?
There’s a bit of a debate about that particularly in regards to 2021 cars. Whatever the answer actually is, I know my premium ER only has 88 kWh useable.

It says it regardless of what update running on, it's just to save Ford from any chance of bricking the car. So no dealer can say "it never instructed me to hook up the 12v battery" ?

No, the warnings are always there. But some updates do run the DC to DC converter. Someday I'll go back in my notebook and list the ones that do. But I'm sure that could change too.

It would be cool if they offered an annual FDRS license that was locked to a single VIN for an intermediate price.
Maybe like $175 or something.
I end up buying the 2-day about once per quarter or when this thread tells me an update I want is available. I would pay $175 no problem for an annual to just do my car. $900 is too steep.

Hmm. After doing all of the recent updates just now, I'm getting a SOBDMC error saying there's an issue with talking to the Gear Shift Module, and it's generating a SSN error I can't clear. I took it out for a drive, tried clearing the DTCs again, and it still comes up. Everything was normal prior to the updates.

I'm going to let it sit for a bit and hopefully going to sleep will clear whatever the problem is, but multiple network tests and cleared/retested DTCs didn't stop it. :( If anyone has any ideas, I'm all eyes.

Is the GSM fully updated? IIRC you have to sent a reset command to the SOBDMC then turn off the car for 5+ mins for that to clear.

Yup, I have nothing left to update. I'll let it sit turned off for a while then. I've never had a SOBDMC DTC I couldn't clear and retest away, so this one's just making me nervous with the SSN. I'll try to stay out of the garage for a bit even though it's killing me a little.

When you say "send a reset command," you just mean the DTC clearing, right? Or something different?

Thank you!

Edited to add: It's all good now. Once it went to sleep, everything came up normally. Thanks again!

I started a FDRS update tonight for the first time in about 2-months.
Was offered a PSCM and CMR I wasn’t expecting.

2021 Job 1 and I was fully updated in about March 2023.

The CMR is taking a while to write over canbus, must be big. I can only think these might be the precursor to getting BC 1.2 assembled?

Had the same thing happen and I think posted about it a while ago. You can clear it by selecting the module and then running the self test. Link

Well if they are taking the BC 1.2 updates bit by bit.

The CMR and PSCM came out at the end of April.

Looking forward to the IPMA and IPC updates next.

Hopefully they'll get those out before the middle of June when I plan on trading. I'd like to send this one off fully updated.
