You’re crazy if you think that wasn’t at least partially why they did this survey. ?They probably wanted to see if they should ditch it or start charging for it.
Ditch it yes... Start charging for it no, and there's no indication of that at all in the survey.

It's a pain point for them and likely causes more grief and support inquiries than any other feature on the car.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they ditched it because they can't reliably figure it out.

As for going to car key, they don't have the hardware for that and hopefully that never happens. Let's not be reliant on more 3rd party providers. Apple car key has had many issues preventing it from working and randomly stranding drivers.

The purse/wallet question makes me think they might go to key cards, which I would welcome as a backup.

OK. I'll be THAT guy. Though I tried multiple times and followed all the sage advice of our MEForum brethren, I was never able to activate it on my Iphone SE. So for me, no loss whatsoever if it's gone. Obviously. But for those of you who love it and use it regularly, more kw's to you! I hope for your sake they keep it and improve it.

Now if my automatic rear hatch cover would actually work, it'd be nice......

I guess i'm thankful that mine seems to work 99% of the time. I have never carried the FOB with me since gettin the GT in 2021. Any time I have issues now, its because my phone had restarted and the app hadn't opened back up for the BT connection to be active.

This should be fun.

Used to work fine for me then after some update it stopped working completely. Dealer service center was clueless as well. At least I got my 2nd fob now. haha

"how would you feel if PaaK was discontinued" - umm....dude, its one of the factors I required when I bought the car. Why do I think 24s will have no PaaK, then by Feb it will be added back!
Sigh... I don't have a very high opinion of the person or team who designs these surveys. Something like 15 questions, and not a single one asked for any details on what actually works well or poorly with PAAK.

There was one comment field pertaining to, I think, why I use PAAK, so I included all the detailed problems there.

And yes, the question about discontinuing PAAK was pretty hilarious. Maybe part of Ford's strat to turn a profit on Model E - besides the fantasy Bluecruise subscriptions - is to cut their losses on trying to improve PAAK.

Then use the key code. Ford hasn't ever indicated that going away. Not sure why more, sound, options are a bad thing.

I hope Ford doesn't listen to those people because I love PaaK and use it exclusively. My wife uses the fob "because reasons" but I love not having to carry a fob. Outside of a Fordpass bug hiccup a few months ago that was pretty quickly fixed, PaaK has worked flawlessly for me.

I did answer the survey also.
I don't use PaaK but certainly wouldn't be happy if it were removed. I don't get people that hate on things they don't use. You can not use it and still be happy it's there for others.

I just meant if they considered getting rid of PaaK in favor of a card for your wallet. My phone goes more places than my wallet. And I do use the door code/start code but only if needed, I dont plan on using those, too slow.

But yes, adding a key card would be nice, it would be used by my wife for example. So yes to more options, but no to removing options

If they remove it I think they really need to reengineer the key they hand out. If I was forced to carry a key I would like to have it be credit card-sized no buttons.

Would love to have WAAK.

Thankfully they didn't ask if we would pay for it as a subscription.....
Oh it's coming....

PaaS

Oddly after I removed PaaK I can't open my frunk via the door code anymore. Probably PBKAC

If you get this, and there is an option (question, suggestion, input section) please tell them to implement Apple Car Key and whatever Android's equivalent is.

Honestly, I'm wondering if the question about discontinuing PaaK might be an incomplete concept. Maybe they're talking about discontinuing PaaK in favor of changing to Apple Car Key/Android's Digital Car Key.

I'd rather just have window and lock control from the internet. Making that a BT required thing to control the windows is the dumbest thing I've seen in just about 6 months.

Trying to get PaaK to work with everyones janky phones, apps, BT , cases, pocket full of keys, tin foil hats, etc is going to be a pain point forever. At least with the FOB you can stick it under your chin like it's 1997 and get the damn thing to work.
