Let me look at tonestos code and see what he's doing for the refresh. To be honest I've never looked at his because I'm an Android guy.
I really don't think it has anything to do with the Widget because I get the same stale data in FordPass too. When I do force the car to refresh by changing a charge setting in FordPass, the updated data is reported in both FordPass and the widget.

It seems to me like the requested refresh command that comes from FordPass (or the widget) is ignored by the car or never actually makes it there, which is strange since all the remote commands (lock/unlock, start, etc.) work fine.

The manual refresh in the iOS widget is the same endpoint that I tested on so the only thing that I didn't test is if the car is asleep, will the refresh command cause it to wake. Since I was testing every five minutes I'm not sure I ever let the car go to sleep. I'll have to test that.

There's no question that my car is going to sleep (but not deep sleep) any time it's not plugged in. I see this message in FordPass quite frequently, even if it's only been a few minutes since driving. But in spite of what the message says, a lock/unlock of the vehicle does not wake it up. Changing the charge settings in FordPass does though.

Got this message over night. I’ve changed nothing, so not sure what would be causing the drain. My car is a May 21 build, so I believe there is a bulletin regarding this issue. My car also goes into deep sleep mode after around 12 hours of sitting. After a 5 day trip, it fortunately started with no issue, but I wasn’t able to remote start it or use any other remote function.

I have an appointment tomorrow for the windshield recall (no roof glass) and will raise this issue with the dealer as well. I’m also due for the 21P22 update, so I guess we’ll see how tomorrow goes!

My diagnostic thing that I have plugged in my obd gives me this message. It seems that the obd plug is not an accessory, it’s always on. I ignore the message.

Yeah, but I don't have anything plugged in. Again, I'm happy to ignore it for now as long as my car starts. The time to Deep Sleep is annoying, especially in this cold. I'd like to remote start the car but I can't if it falls in to Deep Sleep.

Since posting this, i have received the Electrical Drain message every morning. Due to the weather, I did not make my appointment on Friday, so no 21P22 update yet.

Dealer said that the software update may fix the issue, and if not, I’d need to leave them the car for a few days.

I haven’t taken it in yet. Dealer hasn’t been great about when they’ll get to it. They’re just telling me to leave it with them for a few days. Hoping to take it in soon.

Did they figure out the problem? I’m suddenly getting this notification daily.
Ditto. Along with the 12V Battery fault message - into the dealer on the 23d. I told the service manager that I would rather have their best technician rather than the available technician. In any case I am sure that I am paying for their learning curve.

UPDATE: Nothing has really changed, but I haven't seen the drain error message for quite some time. I was also out of town for 5 days and it didn't go into Deep Sleep as it used to. I can only assume that the difference is that the weather has been warmer/above freezing and that the cold weather may have pushed the car into deep sleep. If this is the case, it isn't great as the cold weather is the time you want to use remote start to warm up the cabin and this isn't possible when in deep sleep.

Outside of the above, my job has required me to be back in the office a few days a week and our parking garage has free chargers. I've been charging in the parking garage and have hardly plugged in at home. I doubt this is making a difference, but I figured it was worth highlighting.

Still on 2.3.0 and I do not have the 21P22 updates.

My job 2 (made in mid-August '21) car has had the habit of taking long deep sleep naps ever since I got it in November. It only stays awake for 3-5 hours after driving, no matter whether it's connected to charger or not. Warmer weather has made no difference. Some modules were reset by the local dealer to no avail. Based on posts here and on the Finnish owner's fb group It seems that there is a more than marginal number of deep sleeping Mach E's out there, but no one has figured out the cause so far.

I have the electrical drain message too, comes about every other day. It’s in the dealer next week for it. Ford pass also says it is deep sleep 10/15 mins after parking. Job 1 car, built may ‘21. I’m in the UK band have the 21P22 updates installed, currently on power up 2.1.

I got this message about 40 times over about week.
There have been zero modifications, zero aftermarket devices, zero cause of any kind.
There were about 5 occasions where the door opener/safety prop rods would extend, but not retract, leaving me with doors that would not close. The only way to close the door was to slam it about 3 or 4 times as it hammered the plastic rod back into the door.
Set an appointment and the next morning the car was 100% dead. could not unlock the doors, no lights of any kind, no nothing. Called ford for roadside (even though at home) tow truck opened small port on front bumper, jumped the opening of the frunk, removed cover panels to reveal 12 VDC 'car battery', jumped that and the car came back to life, drove it to the dealer and after three weeks, they said they reprogrammed it and I could pick it up. It has been fine for the last month since that time.
