Might be a little too soon to know for sure, but I think I maybe might have figured out my issue. I'm also using a Grizzl-E. When I was ending a charge before the target, I would always stop the charge from the app. But, the communication between the car and the charger is stupid slow. I've started waiting until the Grizzl-E shows a steady green light before unplugging, not just waiting for the charging ring on the car to switch from blue to gray. The Grizzl-E takes another 10 - 20 seconds to respond after the car stops charging. I've been doing this for about 2 weeks now, and haven't had the "Plugged in not charging" issue.
I just push the handle button and pull it out whenever. Never a problem and no app. Grizzl-e goes solid green when disconnected. Never read too much into it. It needs to click in and than just pull it out. It does not lock like DCFC. For that I push the unlock in the middle of the charge ring to the right of the port (recommended here a way back) and it is working so been sticking with that. Does not matter the app you need to start the charge the stop/disconnect button is always the same ;). It is just suppose to work if not something is wrong.

That might be bad software in the Grizzl-E. When you press the button on the handle or stop charging with the app, a normal EVSE will open the relay within 1-2 seconds afterwards. You might want to contact United chargers because that sounds like a bad EVSE to me.

If the power stays on longer than 10 seconds after S2 opens, the car will detect a lack of voltage shutdown and set a charging fault. The J1772 spec is less than 3 seconds to open the relay, so your Grizzl-E is not meeting specs and could be causing problems.

I've got an electrician coming (unfortunately not until July 6th). The timing just seems strange since I haven't had any problems like this before and it started immediately after the latest update. There are others that are having issues with home charging too since the update. Whatever it is, it sucks!
Could possibly be from a software update if in the update it's requesting a different voltage than it previously was.

I just timed it. From hitting "Stop Charging" on the app to hearing the relay click on the car is 1-2 seconds, which I expect. It's almost exactly 10 seconds after that when I hear the relay click on the Grizzl-E and the green light goes steady.

Yeah, the car takes 1-2 seconds to receive the request over cellular, stops charging and HVBJB relays click open, but my EVSE relay opens about 1 second after the car relays click, not 10 seconds. So your EVSE has an excessive delay that violates J1772 protocol. The +12V power supply in the EVSE might be going bad too and causing mixed signals. I would definitely report that to United chargers and see if you can get a replacement.

Is the J1772 cable new too or did you have to transfer it from the old unit?

The whole unit is brand new. Never happened before. I feel like the last update may have screwed up the charging. There's another thread with regards to chargepoint EVSE. It might be related since they it seems to affect smart EVSE's

Well if the Ford Mobile Charger works just fine but your Juicebox doesn't, then I'd say it's likely you still have a problem with the Juicebox? Can you try charging on another public Level 2 charger to see if that works okay or not?

Ill have to try tomorrow. My ford is plugged on 120 and my EVSE is hardwired so if their is a problem it can bd because of the EVSE but im leaning towards the car. I remember a couple of years ago this happened to Kia's where the EVSE's needed a firmware update to be compatible with the car after the car was updated.

Also note that neither my EVSE or the car are reporting any faults

I noticed a change of if I tell the car to stop charging from FP before it reaches its target. It won’t charge when I plug in the next time unless I hit Resume Charging in FP. I don’t have a schedule set at all, but I don’t remember it doing this before. It’s not a big deal just something I noticed.

This is the exact scenario where going with the hard wired EVSE has left with you with few options for troubleshooting. A 14-50 outlet would be super useful right now, but hey, at least you were pulling those extra 8A from the hardwire while it lasted.

What update do you think may have caused it? Was the first juicebox really defective? Could be the one they sent is a dud so one more test required at 240V on a different type of charger or try a different vehicle in the chargepoint, both. Can you press charge to 100% and it starts or does it not charge at all on 240V now on two chargepoints?

Agree too simple a fix (test) and if you sleep 40 amp is plenty. They could just put a 14-50 in beside but for me it is instead. Swapping out charger should be quicker and easier when that comes. Plus I have the 240V ford mobile as a backup until the new one arrives. Fingers crossed on the mobile ;)
