As of 6/19 4:47 am my MME status is Available for Placement (AVPL) at Edgemoor DE. From here it's a shunt train to the New Castle DE yard a few minutes away where it will get unloaded and shipped via truck to my dealer an hour or so Northeast.

Then again, with I95 detour traffic, maybe 200 hours.

Long time reader, first time poster - anyone else experiencing a long delay between your MME being built and getting shipped. My MME GTPE was built almost 5 weeks ago and no update since about 4 weeks ago. @Ford Motor Company is this normal?

Ford chat gave me a standard response about delays, the dealer said they are not a transportation company and have no control over shipment times.
There is an exact same car ordered by one of the dealerships nearby, built on 6/16 and shipped the same day - I have no idea how they schedule deliveries. Maybe @Ford Motor Company can shine some light on it.

06/19/2023: Picked up the car

My sales associate was AMAZING. We did everything over the phone and I went to the dealership for the first time to pick up the car. The price was locked in at the time of ordering. I was promised a $2000 rebate during ordering/reservation time, which they honored (didn't even have to ask) and they said they have a $500 additional rebate currently going on, so got that too (again without me asking). No upsell or pressure at all. It was a breeze.

This was quite the journey - I want to express my gratitude to this community for providing invaluable resources and the enlightening discussions. I have learned so much and have been astonished by the shared human emotions that permeate these interactions. Moreover, I am thankful for the prompt and direct responses I received to the questions I had.

There seems to be no reason, at least to us, for Ford's schedule as far as shipping.......I match you exactly in terms of dates, except my car has shipped with an estimated delivery between 6-20-23 and 7-1-23.....there are some whose car was built after mine and shipped within 3 days of build......

mine is coming to NJ, don't know how much destination has to do with it.......I really don't care BUT several offers on the table, end 7-5-23, although everyone says Ford will extend those, we'll see, haha......my last update was 6-6-23....

With my car seemingly moments from being off the train in DE, I excitedly opened the email from Ford saying that there has been an update to my order. I thought perhaps it might be the "complete your purchase" update, but instead it was because my delivery date got pushed back a week to 6/26 to 7/2. It previously was 6/17 to 6/24.

I was assuming sometime next week anyway though. The email just gave me a brief moment of thinking it might be sooner than I thought.

EDIT:

Last update I received was AVPL 6/19 4:47am Edgemoor DE, so I've been expecting my last update to be in New Castle DE very soon. Just called NS and was given "No tracing information available" for my railcar. Doesn't make sense, since even when empty I should still see it heading back.

Perhaps a glitch?

Sorry to hear you are in the same boat. Clearly no discernable logic in how @Ford Motor Company is shipping out vehicles after being built. The lack of progress is driving me insane.

Glad you didn't stuck in the blackhole I find myself in. Doesn't seem to be region based as I've seen and heard of MME GTPEs being built after mine and get shipped to Phoenix within a couple of days. Hoping to see progress soon...

Really? That's interesting. I tracked a dealer order for a GTPE and it took 6 weeks to ship to Phoenix. My GTPE order is stuck on "in progress" of 6/8 build date and no further updates. Modules are populated and it has a tear tag, which typically indicates it's fully built. I'm not anticipating it arriving at the dealer until July 15th.

Sorry I wasn't clear - I meant I've seen MMEs get built and then the shipping process actually starts within a few days but yes it is 4-6 weeks once it is shipped to being delivered.

This morning it got updated retroactively: shipped on the 27th with ETA 6/26 - 7/9, but the last updated date is still 5/28. I tried to get tracking details from Ford Chat, but they told me that in their system it is still at Ramp 5J, Lecheria Cuap, EM awaiting shipping (same location as 3 weeks ago)

Yes, same here. Got an email update that my MME was shipped 5/23 but the last update didn't change from 5/24. Also have an expected delivery date of 6/20-7/3, going to reach out to my dealer to see if they can track where it is at. I'm hoping that delivery date range is correct but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, neither am I. But who knows, maybe it's all just a tracking glitch and the cars are somewhere close to our destinations...

Did you get a rail car number from them? If so, you can call and find out where it is outside of Ford chat
