I called Ford to ask why I can't get updated to 4.2.6 from 4.2.4.
They told me there no updates pending and they show me on 3.9 something lol

Someone willing to look up my vin and tell me what updates I have available?

I bounced your software revision numbers for all the BC related modules against the list I kept for my recently traded '21J1 and the only thing that's different is the IPMA. My car had a "-ABS" revision and yours has a "-GAP" revision. That's the only thing I see different.

Here's the list of currently available updates for your car (none of which are cruise control related):

You can ask the service advisor to have the tech call the hotline for assistance (unless they have already shifted over to the regional tech support process that's going on now).

Hey, sorry. I need some help. I have a 21 Job 2 that to my knowledge has never gotten an OTA update. I just took it into the dealer to try to get them to fix that and to fix a blue cruise issue. They ran my info and said my car is up to date, but that there was a TSB for the blue cruise issue and they are currently doing those updates (And say they won't be done today). Could somebody please see if they are telling the truth about my car needing no other updates?

12 Jul '21 build date, Job 2 car.

They are working on it. They have tried the gateway update about three times and an APIM (Sync) update as well. As for TSBs there are several that concern BlueCruise but the one you're referring to is the one that talks about BC no longer working. Meaning it's different than the TSB for cars that never had working BC to begin with.

So they are working the problem but it's too soon to say they have it licked.

Here's the list of available updates for your VIN:

Notice there is another GWM update in the list....so they may have an issue with your gateway and might need to replace it. We'll just have to see what they come up with on the diagnostics.

Wow, thank you so much!!!!

I also have the problem that about 50% of the time if the car is locked and I try to open the back door first, it won't. I have to open the front door first. Could any of the door control modules be the reason?

Sorry, follow up question. What should I ask of the dealer? To do all 23 updates that you list? Or if they get the OTA issue fixed, will it automatically update all of those?

Well if you're also having problems with false alarms in your FordPass app, which I suspect you are, you can reference the attached and ask the service advisor to have somebody check into that while your car is there... ;)

Getting OTAs sorted will not update the majority of all those modules. There's a couple of reasons for that. First would be whether or not the OTA team have even packaged and sent out OTAs for those modules at all (a lot of them weren't), and second if your aren't getting OTAs and the system tried repeatedly to send your car updates but can't, then it will stop trying. Your service advisor and the tech can use the 'OTA Dashboard' in their PTS system to see the status of any OTAs for your vehicle going back 60 days. You can ask to see the OTA dashboard when you're there and they'll likely show you what it looks like. If it looks like the one below, well then that would be something that they should investigate/diagnose. Because you certainly should have gotten some OTAs in the last 60 days, especially if there are available updates in FDRS that have already been sent out to others with similar cars.

Thanks. No, I'm not getting any alarms in my FordPass app. So maybe that update isn't what I need.

Thanks! The Service advisor did say that they checked "the system" and I had no OTA updates. So the Service advisor said there was nothing they needed to fix. It must have been that screen.

Well the service advisor cannot see the list of updates that FDRS shows from his screen in PTS. Only a tech can see that (in FDRS).

So what's happening is the service advisor checks OTA screen...."nope, nothing there. I guess there aren't any updates!" When in actuality the car isn't getting updates because there's a problem and the service advisor can't see it. This is a perfect Catch-22.

Ask the service advisor to call the tech up to the desk and explain why you have all these updates available but you aren't getting OTAs that other people have already gotten.

Well thanks, I appreciate it and am happy to share.

And I in turn learn new stuff everyday. Like this morning when I'm in the car trying to get FDRS to connect so I can update my RFA and OBCC, and keep getting kicked off the net.

Took me a few minutes to figure out that the car's own Wi-Fi hotspot that was turned on by the dealer (my new car was a mannequin) was interfering with my laptop's connection to my house Wi-Fi. It was kicking my butt there for a few minutes until I shut that off (I'm not subscribed but I think the trial is still in effect).

I'm also reminded this morning that I'm really glad I connected the powersupply to do the RFA. 48 separate memory blocks to erase and replace! 22 minutes.

The OBCC I could have gotten away with just on the car's battery. Not that RFA.
