What are people currently seeing for prices on Premium Mach E's? My dealer in CT quoted $4,500 off MSRP on a Premium that has been in stock for two months.

That’s a great deal……depending on which MSRP they’re using (it’s changed a lot this year).

I think the assumption that the higher entry costs to EV makes it more expensive and or not possible to see a savings is not as impactful now. Time has passed, the economy and supply is leveling, and tons of great used EVs are available. My MME Premium X 2021 was $36k with 27k miles. My son just bought a Tesla 3 2019 with for 28k with 32k miles.

. The Mach-e should be way better, but it does that a lot of planning. The dealer I bought it from only had 2 Select's, way more Premiums and GT's, but the price difference is crazy. It's nice to have choices now after a couple of years at the mercy of the dealerships.
It is all fun until you hit SC EA chargers.. But starting in the spring this should be better.

I have 2 kids and 2 dogs, and I think the longer stops would be fine to let them all stretch their legs.
I can't imagine driving either EV on a trip with kids and pets. My wife and I love it now. With kids, I pressed the pedal further and further to get there. Add 20%. NFW! :D

Interest rates are strangling all parts of the economy, and the 7k tax incentive is poorly executed. It's the equivalent of a govt run mail in rebate.
That reminds me I think i'm waiting on one of those...

Very true, I think you gotta be a bit zen about the charging stops because at some point you will probably be unable to perfectly incorporate the extra 'fueling' time into a lunch stop or a store you wanted to visit anyway, and kids, they don't do zen!

And if everyone is trying to incorporate a charge into a lunch stop, do we have enough chargers?

Nope.

more like 185 max for a 100% for the 1st charge because I leave home at 100% second charge usually is at 140ish, loaded car with 4 passengers, AC or heater running, high speed :D it's a select not a CA-RT1 so miles are already low.
I took my CA RT1 from Phoenix to Carlsbad, CA last July. One charging stop in El Centro for 17 minutes. Made it there with 15% battery. I bought the CA RT1 because I wanted maximum highway range, not maximum performance (especially for only 5 seconds, lol).

Then there's the bladder vs. battery range equation, where:

If summer bladder range < battery range,
then stop and pee.
Else,
if winter, then battery range < bladder range. ?

If your dealer put up a most recent window sticker, then yes it's a good deal.

But if your dealer left the old price sticker up and then tells you that $4500 off is good deal - I have beachfront property to sell you in Kansas...

My Premium got the $2K rebate off the new lower price (post Feb '23) plus PCO.

Sounds like me - short range due to bladder range.

I am not a young whipper snapper anymore and as a senior citizen, I love my SR MME - has more range than I need without a bathroom break.

A 300+ mile travel without stopping will spring a leak from me!

Charging is still a big factor when it comes to owning an EV. How many people have access to a Lvl 2 charger at home? They're almost non existence in rental properties.

Mine too.

We've taken it across six states (including from LA, through Phoenix, and on to Flagstaff in one trip and from Flagstaff to LA and back many times). We've done more than 70 DCFC charge sessions, and have spent 640 hours in it driving almost 23,000 miles. It's one of the best road trip vehicles we've ever owned.
I haven't taken my MME on a long road trip (yet), but I have plenty of nightmare ICE road trip stories, so many, that I haven't taken a long road trip since ?
