It would not surprise me if they wanted somewhere around $1500 to do these updates.@Mikeg Wondering what your or others on this forum thoughts would be on a fair price to update my GT with the above updated IF they state they want to charge me? Any idea if these updates are fairly quick and can be done in a few hours of labor? Just trying to be prepared for my visit in case they say they charge for these updates.
Also, it is safe to assume that "all" of these pending updates will be patched/updated at some point via OTA if I waited long enough or have you seen some updates that Ford isnt addressing via OTA?
Thanks again
Here's what you're showing this morning:Thinking a buying all the equipment for FDRS updating so if someone could let me know if any available updates are worth the effort. VIN 3FMTK3SU7NMA27267 Thanks in advance.

FDRS won't show you any errors that might indicate what's going on with Connected Services unless your TCU is throwing some sort of error. Your dealership's service advisor might be able to see something in their PTS "Connected Vehicle" section...or if there is no data showing then that would tell them that there's something up with your TCU (modem). People have pulled the TCU fuse in the passenger side footwell fusebox to reset the TCU.I was informed by the Ford sync folks to bring my two week old MME GT back to the dealership because modem issues and errors in two modules after two recent OTA Power ups 4.2.1 and 4.2.2.2.
Modem is connected to ford pass but I am not able to open connected services on car screen. Also phone may or may not connect to car for paak, phone use or android auto depending on whether it's in a good mood or not. Had to completely reset paak along with along with my profile and user and phone WiFi and Bluetooth settings 10 times over the past 2 weeks just to get the connected services Link button to open and show on the screen. Another strange occurrence that hasn't happened on any of my other MMEs is I get an error message telling me to try again whenever I click the connected services link in the app or online.
Can the FDRS search show errors? Possible issues. possible solutions rather than waiting 2 months to get car looked at from dealership?
Thanks, Jerry
Thank you. When do they expect the BC 1.3 updates will be ready? Here's what you're showing this morning:

That ACM is supposed to be an OTA (it's been reported some are receiving that already).
The others are not really anything urgent. Up to you. You may want to get the gear and do these for the experience so that when the BC 1.3 updates show up you've got some experience.
Late fall is what I'm hearing.Thank you. When do they expect the BC 1.3 updates will be ready?
Mike, awesome information! Pulled fuse. Waiting for a bit to plug it back in. Yeah, strange. Similar occurrences to what you're seeing on your end with your car. I'm participating in an EA test right now and since I wanted to try out what they had enabled on my car I sat in there yesterday and was going through some of the Sync settings and screens, and when I selected the Connected Services section I got a sort of dialog 'cloud' pop up with three little dots that stayed onscreen for about a second and then shut off without displaying anything else. So, like you, at least in the car I get nothing on Connected Services. But in FP the Connected Services stuff does come up and show correct info for both my car and truck.

11/12 is a combo fuse but the "11 side" is actually for the TCU itself. I'd pull this and wait about 5 mins and then put it back and start the car.
Another thing to consider...was this car a mannequin and did the dealer put it on the FCTP program? Maybe it's still in fleet mode if so. Sometimes it takes a little while for Ford to register the sale and enable everything on the car. Don't know if that's part of the problem but it has happened before.
From today's list of available updates for your car I would certainly urge your dealer tech to update that gateway module in your list before doing anything else.
And then I'd do the RFA (bluetooth module) next. The ACM and HVAC they could probably skip altogether (okay to do but not a priority). But that gateway...yeah that needs to be done and then whatever subsequent updates show up for the APIM, GWM, or TCU after that initial gateway is updated (which will happen).

Well TBH when I got the email asking me to re-confirm I still wanted to be in EA I clicked the link to go to the site and thought I was just re-confirming that my truck was enrolled. And on the site it asked if I wanted to enroll the new GT, so I said yes. This 'thing' that I'm testing is actually the first actual beta anything that I've been offered, and I've been "enrolled" with my truck and previous car for about a year and a half. I should point out that a lot of people think that since they're simply enrolled, but not actively participating in a specific program, that they infer from that it gets them earlier access to updates that appear as OTAs (or in FDRS). I have never seen that. I think they roll out OTAs when they roll them out, and it's just down to when they get to your VIN. And as far as FDRS is concerned I think that's the true release of software updates to the masses, and most of the time that pre-dates the OTA release but sometimes (like in the case of my truck recently) it's on the same day. So I wouldn't worry a bit about whether being in EA was going to ensure you're getting the very latest at the very earliest. That's not how it seems to work from what I've seen in FDRS. Sync folks told me the other day that they are seeing TCU and gateway errors. Told me to wait a few days. It may work itself out...
It's awesome you're in the early release program. I can't even get into the website anymore. I was on the waiting list with my other two MMEs. Just like another hundred thousand folks. Hoping for that gold ring.
Thanks again for the great information. I'll keep folks posted.

Thanks very much Mike that’s very helpful. I actually do have both of those issues so I will be sure to report those to and see if I can convince them to apply the other updates. If you have multiple
It would not surprise me if they wanted somewhere around $1500 to do these updates.
Some updates are only done in response to a customer concern, where that concern would be addressed by applying the update. An example from your list would be the wireless charging pad update (WACM) that would be applied if your iPhone wasn't charging properly but just getting very warm when on the pad. Or you notice when you get in the car that your drivers seat and mirror settings aren't adjusting to the profile you've saved (your keyfob or PAAK) but instead they adjust to the settings of another stored profile for another driver in your household. In that case they'd update the DSM.
But in 99% of the cases there is no reason to not have any of these updates applied. So even if you aren't experiencing those issues the WACM, DSM, and in fact all the other updates in your list were created and pushed out from the software engineering teams because they are beneficial. I do all my own updates and have found that when all the updates are applied I don't seem to have problems that others on the forums report.
The high cost of labor and the pain of leaving your car at the dealer to sit for days until an EV tech can get to it (maybe 1 or 2 EV techs per dealership?) is the reason I do all my own updates.
Lol that would be a little bit of a drive for me, but I could see my brother that’s close to you.Sorry I’m in Redington Beach Fl
Understand, I've been a beta tester for hardware and software with multiple vendors for years. If it's a product I currently use or am interested in upgrading or switching to, I like the fact that most beta tests gives you faster access to higher level support. My connectivity is not always on. When the symbol on my main screen is missing the connectivity menu will not come up. I think this only appears when Ford wants to talk to your vehicle. It’s not continuous.Understand, I've been a beta tester for hardware and software with multiple vendors for years. I replaced the TCU fuse, still get splash screen. Please wait three magical dots that lead to nowhere. I know the TCU is working because I see current charge level and all other info online and in the Ford pass app. But I still don't have access to the sync screen connected services section under connectivity and no icon showing connected on the sync screen.
I'll continue to be a nice ford MME loyal owner and wait to get in for service sometime in the next 2 months. Frustration, frustration, frustration.
@Mike G., I always appreciate your comments and assistance for me and others on this site. I can't thank you enough.

Ahhh. I think I know what you mean. The little up and down arrows icon. Yeah, that wasn't on at the time I was fiddling with the settings. That may be it. I'll go out for a spin this afternoon and see if I can bring it up. Thanks! My connectivity is not always on. When the symbol on my main screen is missing the connectivity menu will not come up.
