I was pretty disappointed that this was not included on my 2022 MME. They also didn't include the automatic parallel parking, which is not as big a deal for me. Does anyone know if the parts are available and can the "Foot to open rear hatch" be added after the fact?

I was in the same boat with my '22. Check out this thread: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...back-to-2022-mach-e.16407/page-20#post-635958 to activate the foot to open hatch.

As for the parallel park, I don't think that is something that can be turned back on (at least haven't seen any threads since its a missing chip from my understanding) but from all the feedback I got from people who had it in their '21's it was a gimmick anyways that didn't work all that well and frankly was super slow, so I don't know we're missing much there.

The foot to open hatch thing only works when your hands are not full. I wouldn’t bother. I swear it laughs at me.
Yeah pretty much this. I have an early 2021. The kick to open feature has only worked for me about 1/3 of the time. If my PAAK phone is in my rear pocket it has a nearly 100% failure rate. I like the idea, I’m less thrilled about how it works.

I've seen many people say this. I had trouble at first, but once I figured out how and where to "kick", it has worked for me almost 100% of the time. Very few misses. I find it incredibly convenient and use it every time I open the back hatch. I would really miss this feature if my car did not have it.

I have an artificial left knee and that might account for some of the issues but certainly not all. Honestly though, it’s just not all that important to me as grocery wise I tend to put those in the Frunk and let’s not go to that subject. ;)

THIS

?

Have to give it credit, though, hatch ALWAYS works without fail when I get near back of car, don’t even need to do the creepy wavy kick thing………….whilst washing car?

Water everywhere and hummmmmm as tailgate opens??‍♂

Solution: keys in kitchen whilst washing car ??‍♂??‍♂

You just gotta luuurrrrv the ‘Stang even if only for the entertainment

My favorite random gate opening was when the wife and I were walking to the car from the grocery store. We both had our hands occupied with bags and when we were about 40ft from the car, up went the gate. It was awesome and disappointing at the same time.

I'm good without the parallel parking option. It's so easy to park with all the cameras. I'm wondering if I need parts to make my foot swipe work.

The only way to definitively know is to open up the underside panel (small one), stick your phone up there with the light on, and video/photo by the bumper. If the part is there, FORScan turns it on.

My MME was built 12/21. The module is installed. I've heard of vehicles with a build date of 2/22 that have it.
I went ahead and activated it with Forscan without checking if the module was installed thinking that if the hands free worked then it was there.
It worked.
