They’re having a hard time trying to figure out how to monetize the frunk remote release.

Expect the OTA soon™ after they figure out the pricing. $800 per quarter? It will work anywhere, not just on surveyed and divided controlled accesses highways! A bargain!
Tied to the server and lumped with remote departure scheduling.

Popping the hood has been no big deal however I am not in there often. It is really light but slams well from the middle. Make it close itself also, front like back, kick open and everything. If they can release it remotely that's a big safety step over and the rest is just existing tech. Right around the corner ;)

Wow, I just opened FP to check and now I’ve got it, too. Tested and it works.

My B-Pillar started working last year - that was either an OTA update or one of many updates the dealership pushed to me.

But nobody ever used FDRS to enable my center screen button. In fact, my center screen still lacks a button. So that piece is not necessary for the FP button.

So I still have something to gripe about!

You can add that yourself with FORScan if you want it.

I may have to take up the mantle to get our parking sensors chips.
You can have mine, it’s not just the chips that are incomplete, it’s the implementation. I’ve used it 5 times (once successfully!) and it’s complete garbage

I’m not talking about the auto parking, I’m talking about the actual side parking sensors. I want those activated.

Yeah, but I don’t have FORScan and don’t want to pay for a license. It would seem that this should be super easy to enable OTA.

A power frunk like the lightning would be awesome. I use the Frunk all the time. Grocery shopping today for example. Using the lever is just the way it is.

OoOooo! Pay per use! Rebate .0005¢ per use in the form of points. Well done sir! Wait … are we sure you’re not really a Ford Marketing exec planted as a mole in the forums? ?
Hey! Watch your language! I'm an engineer, not a marketer. :p

You were a few years ahead of me. Aragon ‘81. I used to ride my bike to Bowditch when I was going there. ??
For Bowditch, I'm guessing one or two of these names might ring a bell:
Hall, Huvane, Linehan, Kirk, Lundt, Jensen, Esaki, Cole, Leonhart, Neustadt. I could probably come up with more if I thought about it!

Mine is working now as well. Glad this journey is complete! At some point I was loudly told that I don’t know what I’m talking about by a Ford service manager and that my hood latch couldn’t be remotely operated it was a different latch on the early models. I had emailed printed screenshots from this forum showing which modules need to be updated and than the process for adding the button on the screen. I even asked to see the two different part numbers for the supposed different latch/actuator. Since I didn’t know what I was talking about I bought a mongoose adapter, a 2 day FDRS subscription and completed those and all the rest of the available module updates. I bought the Lightning/Mach E remote with the frunk release button and was able to open with the pillar keys after programming it as the third key.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Frunk Button in FordPass YAY! My Job 1 Mach-E is Complete!!!! IMG_7997

I’ve been paying attention to FordPass and reloading it pretty religiously since this thread started. Last night the 23-PUO110-RAD-PAS pushed and first login to FordPass after the update I had the frunk button.

LOL all of them! I probably couldn’t remember most of them without that memory jog, though. ??

So funny! I was thinking maybe you'd remember one or two of them, but not all! ? If I'm ever in FC, maybe I'll look you up. I still have family in the Bay Area.
