Was it a Cerrified? Did you get 250kWh of free charging from EA thru 2023? Did you get blue cruise free thru 2026?
I bought it as it was coming off the truck from auction. It was not certified, I did not get any charging and they didn’t even know if Blue Cruise was on it when I drove it home. I found out by trying it on the highway. I guess I can be a bit impulsive. But I thought it was a good price and they were giving me a nice price on my ‘22 Bronco Sport.

We have such short memories. 2020/2021 was an aberration that will likely not be repeated for a long time. On average, new cars depreciate 20% in the first year and approximately 15% every year after that for 5 years total. This curve is faster for luxury cars starting around $60k, here the Mach-E GT/Premium falls. And remember, that doesn't mean trade-in value, which can vary wildly by current dealer inventory.

My Mach-E was the first car we've ever purchased new. We always purchase cars 2-3 years old with low miles to avoid the initial depreciation. However, we made a decision to get the new Mach-E because of the rebate, and because we were financially in a place that we could absorb the depreciation and reap the benefits of having a new car (aka no one messed it up before us).

My grandmother just sold her 5 year old 52k MSRP Audi Q5 for 32k.

My 2 year old 70k MSRP MME GTPE gets offers at 31k.

It's most definitely a Ford MachE issue. 60% depreciation @ 2 years is sad.

Agreed, but what is the mileage difference? Also, you are getting 31k offers, but these people making this offer will be turning it around and selling it for 10-15k more than what they bought it for.

I think she had about 10k more miles than I do. And I disagree that they are selling them for 10-15k more. They aren't selling at all. 103 days on average for a used MME to sell is crazy.

I’ve decided to put my car up for sale. So I started asking dealers what my trade in value would be. This is in the Bay Area of California. A few dealerships said they were not taking mache because well used ones are just not selling.

the car is a 2022 mache GT with a mere 6,000 miles.

carmax $36,000
Vroom - $24,000
Driveway - $34,452
Carvanna - $31,908
Kbb.com - $31,033
Cargarus - $34,474
Dealer where I bought car - $44,000

Anyone sold a low mileage GT? Are these truly how much the mache used market has gone to? A $20,000 less in value. GTs sold for around $63,000 new.
You decided to sell your GT, so you asked wholesale buyers for a price. Your car should retail somewhere around $48 - 50K.. That’s what they all figured when they quoted you those prices.

If your car is part of a new car purchase, the dealer can offer you a little more, particularly if there is $1000 trunk money from Ford Included. None of this says.anything about the actual value of your car, however.

No Park Assist which means no side sensors for manual parking, no acoustic glass on front driver/passenger windows, no kick to open liftgate

(unless these were put back in, I haven't been paying too much close attention, but these features were deleted a while back)
I have a 23 and it’s got all of those things. Don’t know which one you’re referring to.

I don’t see any of those features listed anymore on the ‘23 so you must be mistaken on the features I’m talking about.

Park Assist is where the car will park itself in a spot. Not the parking sensing beep thing.

The laminated glass never got deleted from the windshield, the ‘21 Premium had laminated acoustic glass on the side windows for front seats, that is no longer listed.

I also no longer see the kick to open liftgate mentioned. Unless that’s not specified on the spec page.

Option plan is looking good. Many if not most MMEs may be worth less than ballon note.
guess not many people if any have had their balloon note due yet

I'm sorry but a mach-e gt is not a luxury car. A luxury car is audi, Lexus, Mercedes and bmw.

Now do an Audi E-Tron. The EV market is saturated and Tesla price cuts have pushed used prices down further. I'm shocked she got that much for an Audi (the german makes depreciate horribly...for a reason) but it is a mid size SUV which is what everyone wants.

Also the dealer offering $31k for your Mach-E is going to turn around and sell it for $45-55k depending on mileage and condition. That's what the 2 on Carmax right now are listed for. All the offers from Carvana/Driveway/etc. are lowballs right now.

Not really surprised. Also Ford announcing they're switching charge ports is going to kill the used market even more since everything out there is guaranteed to be obsolete charge wise. Not many people are gonna jump on a relatively new tech with already outdated charging ports. I think it's a combination of people just losing interest in this EV and those who are waiting out the charge port replacement so they can get newer models.

I doubt that this announcement had any measurable effect on sales. The amount of people so far this year saying “I won’t buy a used Mach E for $40k because I want to wait and pay $60-70k in 2024 because of the new charge port” likely rounds to zero.

You'd have to look back to the previous pandemic ("spanish" flu) to see how a pandemic effects car prices.

You surely didn't expect historical norms during the '22 model year, right?
