I am wondering how many MachE look are out there that constantly give you pre-collision assist not available warnings, mine has been doing this since day one my Ford has been in the shop for a few weeks and the last time they had it for four months I’m not understanding why they can’t fix this. I wish Ford would give me an answer also so my question is, is there anybody else with this problem and if so, what have you done to fix it?

THe PCA in my 2021 Mach-E stopped working a few months ago right after I had it in for the one year check up. It took me a long time to get an appointment, now in the shop for two days and no one is calling me back with the diagnosis. With that out the cruise control also doesn't work which is annoying on road trips. There are other threads on this - four months is outrageous. I am thinking they should recall and fix the years that have this problem.

My new '23 occasionally gives this warning but mine does it when it's pointed towards a hot sun weather.

Goes away after moving it and restarts.

Hi Carol. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

I have had this problem for months. I get the error along with "front Camera Fault" or " adaptive Cruise not available" - and my Blue cruise just disengages every 30 seconds or so - even on perfectly straight freeway - so - I had the car in one dealership in Los Angeles, they said the front camera needed re-calibrating..... that did not work - got the errors again on way home.

So I complained directly to the CEO's office at Ford. They arranged for me to take it to a second dealer in LA, these guys appear to be doing a more thorough job. They tell me there is a revised Cox cable that needs replacing on the front camera. I do see some posts saying the same thing on the forum. Apparently it is going to be a few more days before I get the car back - will let you know if this works...I LOVE the car, I want it to work

Just yesterday I start getting alot of precollision assist sensors unavailable and cameras not working. Never have gotten this error. All my sensors clean and free of obstruction. Seems like past update changed something.

I brought mine in yesterday to look at the pre-collision error. They had to replace a piece of hardware and do some reprogramming, and everything seems to be working fine now. They also found a couple other updates that they installed while it was there.

My 2021 was left at the local dealer on May 31st and there it still resides. Too many parts replaced to list yet it still has no resolution in sight. Have requested a Ford buy back at this point and awaiting their offer. Needless to say, I don't want this one back nor will I buy another one. Too many other choices out there right now. I really liked this car and would have kept it but the inability to definitively troubleshoot and resolve this issue has become to much to overcome.

Guess I will be calling my dealer tomorrow.

I have gotten this message pop up three times in the last two weeks.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Pre-collision assist, not available ME_Error_20230909

The first two times, turning the car completely off and back on cleared the error. Yesterday it popped up again while driving but, after a restart, I got this message: Pre-Collision Assist Not Available and it comes up immediately now when I try to engage Adaptive Cruise Control.

I have never gotten the Front Camera Fault message (yet).

this is most likely due to front camera fault. you MAY be able to 'fix it' yourself.... there are multiple threads on this. basically, pop off the cover above the rearview mirror, wiggle the coax cable connection around to a more 'relaxed' orientation to eliminate strain on the connection, and pop the cover back on.

Heidi is getting a new eye tracking camera this week because she was getting that warning. It she was also getting “Blue Cruise Not Available” and “Driver monitor camera fault.”

As @Murse-In-Airy will tell you, I'm not great at hardware fixes. I'd rather the dealer work on this one. I sure hope this is an easy one for them.
