I bought the MyQ HomeKit bridge years ago, when it first came out. After much futzing around, I got it to work sporadically, but it hasn’t worked in over a year now, no matter how much resetting, etc., I do.
I’ve been searching for a HomeKit compatible garage door opener (or accessory) for some time, and all the ones I’ve found have various stupid functional limitations.
If you have an opener labeled security+ 2.0, this will allow local control over the network via mqtt, complete with lighting controlAlternatively I'm just going to drop this here. Smart control of your garage from any platform, without the need for MyQ BS
Otherwise you can use a Shelly Plus relay for local smart control
Both of those options pair very well with home assistant if you use that
