I hope your dealership is more responsive than the dealership I took mine to was. They ghosted both the Ford BEV team and me. ?‍♂?
I did end up calling around 3pm (EST) but it was ready. Just picked it up. In fact I'm sitting in it the grocery store parking lot across from the dealership and noticed this...

Ford Mustang Mach-E High Voltage Battery Junction Box (HVBJB) Replacement Recall for recall HVBJB in 30,013 Mach-E 16980950435581949075915728982907

Thanks MachE70!
So mine isn't recalled based on the manufacture date but if my HVBJB goes bad again, I will get an updated part from the one that was installed in the first repair?
So long as it is under warranty it will be repaired at no cost with whatever the most current part is. Simple as that. It is an assumption that anything has changed since the part was upgraded and began being installed May 25, 2022. I hope the assumption is correct as I have a 22 GT with 15,000 miles and no issues at this time.

If it was built BEFORE May 24, 2022, then yes for USA vehicles. The only thing I do not know is if this will also carry over to Canadian vehicles. You would THINK so, but the notice posted here is only for USA vehicles (I see your location is in Canada).
My Select, standard range MME was built in July 2022. Can someone tell me what’s different about my vehicle that it doesn’t need to be recalled? Thanks.

Recall only applies to extended range packs, not standard range packs.

Standard range cars don't draw as many amps, so it's less likely the contactors will overheat. Failure rate is significantly less on standard range cars, below the threshold for needing a recall.

Thanks Mach-Lee. Good explanation. It’s nice to have such timely answers to even my basic questions. ?

Drip drip drip, just a matter of time before everyone has a problem and even after they replace the HVBJB with better units there will be issues, hopefully a lot less.

Except for all those lucky enough to get the car back without battery coolant or squeaky battery box that a few have noticed..

Aaaaand that's why I probably wouldn't have this recall done even if my car was involved. Unless you know the tech that will be performing the repair is good at their job it's something of a crap shoot. Hell, even good techs make mistakes once in a while.

I left the frunk panels off and checked the coolant levels before I drove off the dealer lot after my HVBJB repair. So it's a good idea to check the coolant bottles if you can.

Yeah, but it’s hard to tell if the cooling system has been properly bled just by looking at the reservoirs. You can only see that the reservoirs are full. ?‍♂?

They had a huge air bubble in my FFE when they replaced the battery, twice. It's something I'll surely look for this time around.. but yeah the Pudel has a point.

Nice I just got 23S56/23V687 and 23b50 Charge cord stuck reprogram battery charge control module notices (only when I logged into ford.com)

So I just had the HVBJB failure, I think. Got the Power Train Malfunction and High-Voltage Battery Warning, luckily I was on my way home and pulled into my garage and parked it. Started with the Ford site, it said to call dealer and hooked me up to the dealers' sales number that had lots of sales recordings on it. Finally got through on their land line and got to service. The Ford 800 number then assigned me a tow company who contacted me and said they couldn't toe a AWD Mach-E. Went back to the Ford 800 number and found out how to get past their AI by saying "update request". They are now sending a different tow company.

I only have 3,500 miles on my 2022 GT, had just received the new recall notice on my car. Guess she heard and decided to fail early. Capitol Ford in San Jose will be doing the work. I'm on my way to a photo shoot in Ecuador on Friday, so they can keep it for a couple of weeks if necessary.

Any advice from anyone? I know Mach-Lee is local to me.

Update, Ford emergency service kept calling me back to update me on tow company. Guy arrived, knew all about the car, I was able to drive it up on the platform of the tow truck and he took it away. It was delivered to Capitol Ford and apparently they send pictures to prove the car was delivered in good shape. Since I didn't have a scratch on it, that's reassuring. Gretchen at Ford called me several times, gave me her number and her extension to call if there are any problems with the repair and then called to tell me it was delivered and wished me a good night. After a few problems getting to the right people at Ford and the dealership, they have been great. Will update you on what they say tomorrow morning after they get the car opened up.

After testing, it is the HVBJB failure. Said it would take 3-5 days to get the parts. Since I am going to be in Ecuador until November 9th, no problem. I also asked them to make sure I had Blue Oval 1.3 and the other latest firmware/software releases. Next update will be November 10th.

Well, as I noted on another thread, I got the Service Vehicle Soon signal on Monday morning while in the mountains of Western Maryland about 160+ miles from home. Limped home with a lost AWD and pretty much all driver assist features. Even the Reverse Brake Assist.

Driving now without AWD (mine is a March 2022 AWD Extended Battery Premium with 52+k miles on the odo... sole owner) - the car drives but it has lost its nimble sure-footedness. It drives like a pot-bellied pig, is about the best comparison... adequately but without finesse. Just based on how it feels now, I am very glad I had opted for AWD back during purchase, despite the mileage penalty.

I have a Monday A.M. appointment. My dealership is one of the good ones, and the EV tech is also the maintenance shop foreman.

Today, an intermittent Stop Safely Now began to manifest... so far, only during backing up. So now I have an orange wrench (SVS) and the red battery+! (SSN) icons next to each other on the dash.

Good thing this didn't happen back in July when nephew and I were making multiple thunder runs with the Mach E on the Bonneville Salt Flats ;) God does protect the fools ??
