Hi @Ford Motor Company! Just following up on this post from a month ago. Any update?

Over the next few weeks months, the software package to enable BlueCruise 1.3 will begin to roll out through multiple updates. Please note, this process can take several weeks months to complete. Also, the software package will be deployed in several many phases to reach all most model year vehicles. Once you receive the full software package, then BlueCruise 1.3 will may be enabled and you’ll be lucky if able to experience the performance enhancements for an even better hands-free highway driving performance that we’re so done being excited about.

Thanksgiving for early access, for you, maybe. I'm one of those whose early access got dropped - I reapplied - got my 6.1 a few days ago.

No way I'm getting through the rest of the hoops in 4 weeks.

I'm calling new years for me.

How do we know when we have BC 1.3? I might already as mine was built in July, but am still getting the updates 6.3.0 etc (although the wording seems lighter than for others).
Does the maps version give any clue?

We are delivering our latest software version of BlueCruise – BlueCruise 1.3 – even faster than anticipated.

@Ford Motor Company has a lot to learn about software updates and just setting expectations in general.

Late June: reminder email blast to make sure auto-updates are on to receive upcoming improvements.
Mid-July: BC 1.3 is rolling out "faster than anticipated" "later this summer."
Mid-August: another email blast informing us that BC 1.3 is "coming soon."

Here we are in late October and the updates have stalled and no sign of BC 1.3 or when we can expect it. (Yes I know, they subsequently informed forum users of a delay - but no such information was sent via email, only the prepare for new updates and BC 1.3 coming soon emails.)

Oh and to add insult to injury, late September I was invited to beta test something for Ford. Great, I'm happy to do that. Except the beta test is (still) not ready. Why raise my expectations by inviting me more than a month before it's ready?

These are textbook examples of overpromising and underdelivering, when they should be doing the opposite.

Yeah, this rollout has taken longer than anticipated, i am thinking thanksgiving may or may not happen. Considering nothing past 6.4.0 has hit EAP, i am feeling like this is going to be a while still but hopefully i am wrong

Perhaps I missed it in announcement or early review somewhere but is there any information about the new changes applying to the "hands-required" BlueCruise? Everything I've seen only focuses on the hands-free mode. I'm assuming at least the lane centering behavior is updated but you know what they say when you assume...

I'd prefer a clear differentiation between the two features and wish Ford would have went with some additional branding/label for the hands-required adaptive cruise control with lane centering rather than just calling it all the same thing.

Agreed. They need to drop the BlueCruise label from the hands on assist.

But it would be nice to know if some of the fixes to the hands free will be applied to the hands on portion, such as changes in lane positioning and less hunting in the lane. I frequently have to release my grip on the wheel to allow it to do its ping pong from one side of the lane to the other to allow it to rediscover the center of the lane.

I haven’t received 1.3 mine is actually still 1.0 is there anything I should do to get it?
