First Tesla Superchargers with "Magic Dock" CCS Adapter are online... and charged up a Rivian

I just found it on the webpage. There is four DCFC EVGo charger stalls about two blocks away at the Sheetz station that I was planning to use. We will see on Thursday what the story is.

Maybe the answer is: This is a brand new Tesla location that just recently opened as Plug Share only has comments dating from November 9, 2023. Plug Share comments mention 16 charging stations! Nothing about Magic Docks in the comments section. OOPS! comments in the photos reveal each charging station has a magic dock! All 16!

These are the first new MDs in a few weeks. Glad to see more coming online. I’m getting increasingly excited about the forthcoming adapter. The way it was phrased in the initial announcement from Tesla & Ford, it sounded like we’d be getting these offered to us in Q1 2024.

Everything I read said Spring 2024, so I've got my hopes set for Q2. But no telling. Could always slide forward or back. It would be nice if the adapter becomes available to order sooner. I suppose I should start checking the Ford Accessories page periodically in case it shows up before an announcement.

I stand corrected! It’s Spring 2024 they’ll be made available. Makes me wonder if they’ll be taking preorders or will they just have it as a free for all.

Back to the MDs, I’m hoping these various new stations with the V4 pedestals get opened up right away since the magic dock is just sitting there already.

This location now appears on the Tesla app. States 8 stations have magic docks. I will use one on Thursday. 55cents per kWh is pricey.

I used one of the 4 EVgo stations last year on my Lightning. Worked great, no problems. You could check them our before you go to the Tesla site.

Based on the stellar records for meeting deadlines by both Ford and Tesla, I suspect the adapters not to be generally available until 2 months after I retire....

Every new Magic Dock station is a good thing. I just really want the adapter though. If I ever EV caravanned with my Tesla buddies, it would make things a breeze.

Used one today in Monticello,MN. A fellow MME owner was charging when I got there.

Worth reminding MME owners that we want to first use the stall farthest to the right. If you see another MME or EV charging on the driver’s side or rear passenger side (i.e. EV6 or ID4) then please use the adjacent charger to the left. This minimizes charger blocking.

Thanks @dbsb3233 for posting these! I still can't figure out Tesla's rhyme, reason, or method to the Magic Dock deployment, but it's nice to know you're on the case when you spot one popping up.
