Would you be willing to check again: 3FMTK1RM4MMA27493

Thanks for your help, if you have a paypal I can give you a donation since I've asked a few times. Seeing that there is a powerup 6.7.0 might be why I did not have the option to manually update the GFM?

6.7.0 was just reported yesterday for the first time OTA and vehicle history shows you did your last round of updates on 11/4. Chances are, this update was not out in FDRS back then. If nobody has done so before I get home work, I can check FDRS for you later to see if it is showing for you now.

Thanks, I did all the updates I could 2 months ago and enabled the Frunk but it has never worked. Something fairly simple, even my model 3 gets it right. I did not see a GFM update option and comparing my software version to others tells me it is out of date. Someone else posted this:

"I finally got it to work by not connecting to the car until after the point it was hanging. Still not sure what's up with that. Here's what happened with my module versions:

BCM - MU5T-14C184-ACM -> MU5T-14C184-ACR
GFM - LJ8B-14H121-AE -> LJ8B-14H121-BE
OBCC - LJ98-14G684-AN -> LJ98-14G684-AM"

But my GFM is still LJ8B-14H121-AE Sadly. Seeing as FRDS gave me the option to enable the soft button, I checked all of the fuses,relays, I even replaced the latch motor because Ford's service manual said it was bad. The original 2021 latch measured 42 ohms, the new one measured 8 ohms, ford says it should measure 2 ohms, both work with voltage applied. I even source and swapped in a Frunk relay, which is on the left side of the glovebox but is not listed as for sale by Ford.

At the end of the day, I've come to the conclusion I simply need an updated GFM for it to function. After that, I will do some pin to pin checks.

I'm not familiar with the MME's enough to answer your question intelligently, but it seems like you could be right. I checked the VIN of another member here who got the OTA and this is what the files change to.

@360alaska FDRS is only showing an APIM update for you at this time.

All you show in FDRS this morning is an APIM update. (it's the one that takes you to Sync 1049).

I would do a PMI on that GFM to see if it loads the updated software. During the process, when FDRS asks if the original module is installed you say "No" and it will load the latest software that the server thinks is right for your car. Hopefully that will be "-BE".

Mike,

I received a letter from Ford requesting I take my car in to the dealer to have the Battery Charger Control Module updated (Customer Satisfaction Program 23B50 if anyone else interested). Called them up and they said sure, bring it on down this week. You queried my car in mid-October but I was unable to bring it in back then. Since it will be in getting that update, I wanted to know what else was needed so I could make sure they all get done. Thanks.

VIN: 3FMTK3R71NMA30391

Echoing 360alaska I was also curious if there was a way we could thank you for the service you have been providing.

I would love it if someone could check mine. I feel like I’m missing something, but it could just be some screws from my head… ?
