Hey all! Big day for Mustang content - I'm going to be doing a Q&A video on everything that wasn't answered in the mass amounts of videos today. I still haven't spoken much about charging curves and efficiency in my videos but this is something I will go more in-depth with later on in the week. Let's see what everyone covers and then I'll hit you with the nerdy stuff. Start thinking of some questions and load them up in my Twitter inbox @Out_of_Spec if you want me to touch on your question! Have a fun day watching everything.

Kyle
Great Kyle. Yours is the first I watched. Early Christmas for all of us Mach E reservation holders. A LOT of us are really interested in that charging curve.

It is interesting to see/read about what is important to different reviewers.

How one likes a feature and another simply hates that feature.

In Quebec, GuideAutoWeb published an article (https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...on-mach-e-first-drive-reviews.2350/post-71945) in which it is obvious that the reviewer doesn't like the fact that Ford used the Mustang name for the Mach E. He mentions that the inside is not Mustang enough and not enough reminders that it is a Mustang...oh well!

He was testing a Premium 4X

Few things that he mentioned that kinda gave me a frown...

- Mentions that he finds that the car runs out of "power" quickly when speeding up and that he was not able to achieve the 0-60 in 5sec
- Finds the difference between the 3 driving modes barely noticeable

One thing I was really looking for is autonomy...especially here in Quebec, cold temps!

His model is announced at 425km and he was in driving it in freezing point temps over 2 days. He started off with an estimated range of 337km (that's 79% of full range but he doesn't mention at what charge level he was. That would have been helpful!!!!!) and he's managed to do 325km. So pretty close to estimated range. Happy to see that Ford's algorithm is pretty precise.

Also, we don't know how he's driven it! Being a reviewer, he must have pushed it a few times, so that might not be standard driving.

The StraightPipes video made a big deal about the passenger legroom feeling cramped and that the driver's knees kept hitting the corner to the center screen. I haven't seen anyone else mention that.

Can any of you that sat in the car comment? How was the driver and passenger leg room for someone 6'+?

My tidbits so far...
The steering is hilariously subjective. One loves it and one dislikes it.
The brake feel appears to be a common complaint
I've never heard the little note about all cars having the GT designed subframe put in late in the game.

Overall, extremely positive. Even more excited to get my car now!

Six foot one here and did not have a problem. Will be more where you have the seat at and depending on if you lay that leg over way to the side. But for me, not a problem.

Maybe the driver knee hitting the corner of the screen is not a height issue but more of a "package" size!!!!

LOL!

That's like when I cycle and see some guys cycling with their legs open to the outside, I always wonder what's blocking their legs from closing in on the bike frame!!!

22 minutes to charge from 37-80%. That's an average of 89 kW.
That's a little better than expected. It also happens to be right about the overall pace for 45 minutes to do 10-80% as Ford advertises.

But I assume it sits closer to 150 for the first 20% at least, which should bring that 45 minutes down some. Maybe to ~40 minutes.

Tech Crunch was not very complimentary of the driving dynamics or the brakes.

charging is not finished yet. More charging curve info will come out with more full production models.

I was trying to say it not in that way, but yeah it's more about how wide you lay your legs over and seat spot lol.
