Not to throw more fuel on the OP's fire but not only am I a very satisfied Grizzl-e customer for over two years but I have had fellow mach-E customers in my area buy the same EVSE as recent as a few month's and not a single failure or issue with their chargers.
I have complete confidence in their product and alawys recomend them or even suggest people do their research before buying any products.

I never order through Amazon for things like this.
I’ll use Amazon as long as it’s not a third-party seller. If it’s sold by Amazon and coming from their warehouse versus some guy who just lists the one they have available to sell, I’m OK with using Amazon.

people are saying what they are saying likely because amazon themselves have been known to, on occasion and likely unknowingly, sell counterfeit goods

yes if it's a third party it's even worse, but coming straight from amazon didn't historically seem to guarantee authenticity. when it's toilet paper it doesn't matter but some posters here are worried about chargers presumably because of electrical fire risk

that said i personally don't think it's that high of a risk, and i have also not seen the issue reported recently...

It’s true, I go through a lot of running shoes, and I use the same type over and over. I have definitely bought some pairs directly from Amazon or the manufacturer’s Amazon storefront where the shoe has been totally subpar making me think it’s a counterfeit.

I do think that’s harder to pull off with smart devices (you will know immediately if it’s a fake), and if it’s at an Amazon warehouse, I figure even if it’s commingled with gear from a third-party seller it’s less likely to have been abused, be a used item being sold as new, etc.

Retired. I'd say it was a mid life crisis, but not many people live to 140.

My first Grizzl-E developed a problem with the charge handle. After three years and out of warranty.

They sell a new cord and handle but at 199.99 it seemed too close to the price of their refurbished units.

Gets here tomorrow so I’ll find out shortly.

Did the original poster say what was wrong, exactly?

Thought I would be hard wiring an Autel but changed my mind and sent it back. Wiring quote was about $1100. Plus price of discounted Autel meant total of $1425.

I do not go out of the way to be cheap but I just couldn’t. ?

It’s very much designed to be a mobile charger
To be clear, that just means it's not hardwired, it's not mentioned anywhere in their marketing or spec that it isn't suitable for daily charging. Everyone (not Ford) just agreed that it's a piece of crap and you're better off buying something else.

As for charger alternatives my Autel has been pretty rock solid and has a decent app. I was gonna go with grizzly but wanted something I could monitor my charging without having to go through the headache of launching fordpass.

Previously I had a lectron that turned out to be crap and the customer services was equally bad, luckily amazon sided with me in the dispute since they just went silent after I provided all the proof they wanted.

I'm kind of regretting not getting an Emporia charger since I have since installed their energy monitors in my breaker and it seems to have some nice integrations.

My first started over temp faulting after 10 months. Warranty replacement was fast and painless. Back in July. Second one shows no issues so far.

do you need help? Most of the comments are not helping you fix the problem. If you want help, let’s troubleshoot the issue.

The FMC works you say, so wiring / breaker are okay at 32A. I have to assume a 14-50 NEMA outlet? Have you tried lowing the amps on the Grizzl-E below 32a to see if it works?

Start by deceiving the circuit / plug / etc.

if you’re just blowing steam, then, have at it. ;)

Had one for a year now, has worked great with no problems.

OP seems to be the issue here based on their replies to comments.

Have you considered the installation?
Now this person differentiates! #coolusername

I don’t want to make assumptions about what has been tried. As an example, the Ford Mobile Charger hates the power from my cheap generator. I would definitely have a different electrician check it out. Something is up. Have you tried another charger into the same outlet or another L2 EVSE into your MME?

When I was researching, the Grizzl-E was on my short list. It should be fairly solid.

I guess the question becomes, what do you want forum members to do for you? you asked a question, got answers but the answers only seem to increase your anger toward the charger and kinda toward forum members.
You came here for help and/or answers, so what is it we can say that will help you?

I bought a Grizzle Mini for a portable charger to take on road trips. It does not work and I still do not have a replacement from United Chargers, I bought it directly. Customer service has been total bull s*it. I would not buy or recommend Grizzle at this point in time. There is documented incompatibilities between the MachE and the Grizzle Mini.

I've had mine for several years now and it works great.

One caveat......I purchased their smart charger and have been unsuccessful in getting it connected to my internet so it functions as a more expensive dumb charger. They have spent time on the phone with me and sent a replacement and still no luck. I don't think it's their issue, but it was frustrating until I just gave up
