Yesterday I did the dance with the dolls and yarn around my 2022 GT PE (purchased Nov 2023) and I still didn’t get any 6.x.x series OTA updates. Last update was still 3.5.4 on Jan 12.

I plugged it in and even my 12V battery has a good charge.

Do you think I need candles? I’m not a virgin, could that have been the problem? Do I need to get virgins to do the dance?

6.x was a very complex set of updates to most of the car's systems. Not surprisingly, there were a few hiccups. Unfortunately, those appeared right before the holidays. Ford has been working on getting the updates fixed and the PowerUps are starting to trickle out again.

All you need now is the same thing that keeps virgins around -- patience!

Is there some specific feature you would like to start using? Or this is just a FOMO post because others have received OTAs you haven't?

The 6.x.x series is mainly just about prepping you for BC1.4, which itself hasn't been rolled out widely yet.

I would like the charge assist app. But it’s 90% FOMO. And progress towards BC1.4.

Also, check that your car connects to your home WiFi.

Yes, you forgot the blue candles. Since you didn’t use any candles, you’ve casted the reverse spell which actually downgrades your PowerUp version.

if you're still on the 3's you almost certainly have an issue

i heard there was a fuse you could pull to try and resolve but most people seem to need a visit to the dealer?

I’m not a mechanic or software engineer, but it’s looking like you’re going to need the virgins.

I received a recall yesterday on my ‘22 Lightning for a “voltage module under reporting 12v battery status” causing update issues. Could this also be a problem for Mach E’s? The recall does not state if plugged in or not plugged in. I do have issues in the Lightning but I’m not an alpha or beta wanna be so I have just been waiting until the virgins, candles, goats, and stars align.

Have you posted in one of the FDRS threads? If you're on the 3.x series your car may be stuck on some update that is blocking any further progress. If you provide your VIN there, one of the folks with FDRS (or PTS) access could probably take a look to see what the next steps should be.
